what do you guys think of the GeForce Titan?

>>

same as what I think of the 690, but slightly better since it's a single GPU.
So pretty much overpriced shit that nobody intelligent wants. It's a K20 GPU with the featureset of a 680 but MOAR.
>>
>>31872991
Typical nVidia shill who would throw away money for very little gain.

Was thinking of getting one for Premire Pro but waiting to see whatt improvements they will make to compute performance with drivers.

Seems like two 7970s or 680s would be better.

I use these cards for animation rendering, not that you would know ANYTHING about that kid
>>

And cheaper. But shills would complain about microstutter.

Yeah no.

AMD stagnated suring that time period, as a result that era saw quite a sad drop in architecture performance over 3 generations.
The 4xxx gen stepped up, though.
I have to say, nvidia really did their homework with the 8800 and 9800GT+x+, even if it fucked the consumers a bit.

no it was named to match the name of the supercomputer it is being used in
>>
>>31873280
Don't forget the fact that it's a mid-tier integrated GPU and that CPU will be using GDDR memory.

It's pretty lame hardware. Its only hope is in how well games will be integrated and optimized for it.
>>
>>31873405
Which GPU is it? I heard it was a 5770
>>
>>31873428
More like a 6850
>>
>>31873405
I heard the GPU was supposed to be equivalent to a 7850.

Huh.
>>
>>31873468
You know what? That's pretty fucking good. You can get some nice-looking results from one of those cards, enough that I don't want to claw my eyes out at the upscaled 640p image on the lowest-of-the-low settings that occur on consoles.

I won't buy one because I don't like games on consoles
>>
>>31873428
we have no idea, just like the CPU, the only thing they said was "8GB GDDR5" and "LOOK AT OUR CONTROLLER ISN'T IT AWESOME?"

we don't even know what the damn console even looks like
>>
>>31873428
It's not as lame as people are saying, it's in the ballpark of a 7850 and 7870, with other customizations made by Sony, including an APU for parallel processing (crossfire), I think with time and optimizations to come, we will see some seriously good looking games on the PS4. Naughty Dog never disappoints
>>
>>31873540
And Sony are giving devs low level access to the hardware, that could help quite a lot.
>>
>>31873540
Will you buy one, though?
>>
>>31873540
>>31873521
The thing I'm excited about is the x86 CPU. Suddenly PC ports are no longer nearly as cost intensive or (Presumably) bad. Also, remember that the PS3 released with what was considered to be a fairly high end GPU for the time. The problem was a memory bottlenecking issue.

Any dev who refuses to port from the PS3 to PC based on "difficultly" shouldn't have as much of an excuse just because of that.
>>
>>31873644
That does excite me as well as the possibility of emulation down the road (x86 or x86-64 based)
>>
>>31873621
maybe, after all it's the games that make a console worth its price.
>>31873644
Yep, me too, it's the first time that Sony doesn't go insane with the CPU, PS2 (Emotion Engine) and PS3 (Cell) where relatively hard to work with, now with an x86 CPU, it shouldn't be an issue, especially for launch titles... the Cell proved to be a beast though.

No. I have a top tier 4k usd PC right now. It will out perform the PS4 when it comes out. Plus I will upgrade in the future...

I am just happy to see that when the PS4 comes out PC games will not be held back. They will make awesome games because they don't have to port them to shit hardware...
