Sorry if this isn't the exact right place to post, but it's time I upgraded /g/. I have a shitty laptop and want a decent PC to run most indie games on their highest graphic levels, the good ones like Paranormal.

What kind of PC could you guys suggest?

i3
Cheap 1155 Mobo
8GB RAM (here we go...)
GT630/640
128GB SSD

I built that for a friend a few weeks ago, total was about 500 bucks and it was still capable of playing Skyrim on medium at around 50 FPS so it should handle indie games fine.

For a start, stay away from prebuilts.

Also, state a budget.

The picture was random.

For budget, anywhere between $600 to $900. I'm not trying to run any new release games on ultra high, just indie games like Paranormal, Anna and The Path and maybe a few big releases like Dark Souls.

FX 6300/AM3+ or an i3570k + LGA 1155 Z77. Get a GTX 660 Ti or HD 7850/7870 video card. 650-750 watt power supply for future SLI. 8GB RAM, 1 TB hard drive and an optional 128GB SSD.

For $900, you can probably max 90% of all games.

You just said the build I was planning on buying. That will play modern games on high btw
