there are ways to hide files in images

two means are provided to scan your 4chan folder in order to make sure that you're OK with the actual contents of your hard disk, or just for curiosity

The first one scans for appended archives that 7zip understands (images downloaded from 4chan before a couple years ago)

The second one looks for ANY data after the end of images, and dumps the contents for you to figure out what the data is (means are provided as well)

tl;dr you might have files on your computer that you didn't know you had

I've got shit from late 06 to early 07 on here and all the way since.
