Hackers was TOTALLY accurate. All '90s hackers rollerbladed everywhere and it only takes two gay nips to take over every communication satellite in the world at the same time.

The point is Three Days of the Condor had phone phreaking. /g/ should be queer for it but I guess there's only room for one Redford movie on this list.

That movie isn't so much about hacking...it's just part of the female protagonist. However, the abuse, rough sex, lesbian scene, corporate cover-up just share with a lot of cyberpunk themes. Don't expect a lot of technology. Very good though...it's part of a trilogy: Flickan som lekte med elden and Luftslottet som sprängdes are the others (the latter isn't on dvd yet).

When a lonely teenager orders the latest interactive video game, the high-tech wizardry penetrates his subconscious, where his darkest impulses lead him through a deadly maze of murder, deception and desire. Pursued by a homicide detective and prodded by the Trickster, he is torn between the worlds of good and evil, of reality and fantasy and, ultimately, of life and death.

Earlier this year "Micro men" was also broadcast. This documentary/drama thing showed the battle between Sinclair and Acorn computers in the 80s in the UK. Sinclair went bust, Acorn went on to develop the ARM processor...
