Stuff does run smoother than on Windows 7, uses less resources, boots up faster, everything works on it without any issues.

Just get Start8 and you'll never be forced to see any Metro shit ever again unless you actually want to see it.

Microsoft Security Essentials is merged with Windows Defender.
Usage of "apps" when the store actually gets decent ones instead of desktop programs will increase your battery life due to automatic app suspension.
For ricers, ricing Metro to match a theme isn't necessary since every app already matches the theme.
Search, using a larger font and spacing between results causes higher readability, otherwise works exactly the same.
Streamlined apps run faster than your browser due to only including necessary features:
Think 4chan app, will run faster than 4chan in Chrome because you're not trying to support every Flash, Java, and shitty plugin/extension under the sun.
