    Attention everyone else: GET READY FOR EXCITEMENT!! On Sunday we'll be rolling out our new imageboard HTML/CSS. Everything has been rewritten from the ground up and replaces code that is nearly a decade old. The designs will be 100% the same, but this should allow us and other developers to more easily modify and create add-ons for 4chan. Large threads should also render more quickly, and we also have a new mobile view for those on mobile phones. And a few other goodies.

    We expect the migration to be pretty painless, but expect some wonkiness tomorrow afternoon. The Official 4chan Chrome Extension will be updated immediately, and has a bunch of new features and runs 3x faster than the old one, so be sure to grab that in advance.

    /g/, I'm working on a side project that is basically a site to post pics of your battlestations, build specs, and deskterps.

    Right now you just have a profile that you can link others too. I'll need to add some features so you can find other profiles to rate and leave comments on.

    Thoughts? Is this totally retarded or would any of you actually use this? Any features you'd like to see?

    I think this is a welcome website. It might finally get a good deal of the /v/ "HURRDURR LOOKIT MAH RIG" cancer off of /g/, so they won't shitpost about people heaven forbid posting reaction images anymore. Then all we'll have is tech support, circlejerks, consumer whores and programming threads.

    This is another one of those "HOLY SHIT why didn't I think of that ideas..." dammit. A day late and a few bucks short...

    Good idea, OP, just registered for an invite. This could prove to be a great idea, seriously. Stick with it and it could pay off in the long run. The idea and the basic outline/layout of the site (what there is of it) is very nice and clean, great work.

    Will keep definite tabs on this as time goes by.
