04/15/12(Sun)02:55 No.24226703There
is a limit to the actual eye resolution. In fact, the center of the
eye, where you focus your vision is hardly 2megapixel equivalent. There
is no point in anything beyond 2k in any circunstace. 4k is usefull for
the videographers when downsampling, panning, etc, but not for actual
user experience, but they want a way to bump the Marketing and forcing
new development of new technology. That is how the capitalism works.
Howeve,
i've workd with a 27" inch 2560x1440 monitor in a new Imac in the video
producer i work on, and in fact the extra resolution Area for working
is quite usefull, but i can hardly imagine a pratical computer display
in size to put on a desk with anything beyond 1600p. IMHO The market
should stop at 1600p, (4mp) 12mpx is tottaly overkill (4k).
A
curiosity about view distance: I use a 42" Flat screen as screen monitor
and only stay away from it about 1.5 meters. i found it very
confortable at this distance. However, the 27inch apple display gets to
small to red text beyond just 1 meter away.
30" 2560x1600 is the ideal maximum resolution for work, and fitting 2x 30" screens on a desk is not exactly easy. |
