Many more men though. Obtained my A.A.S. in Computer Networking, zero females in the program. Obtained my Bachelors in IT Management and men outnumbers women 10-1. At my current it job at a local hospital we have exactly zero females in the info systems department and it is a rather large department.

Depends I'm sure, I didn't get the job but I applied for an oil field engineer position with Schlumberger like a year ago and probably like 25-30% of the interview candidates were women engineers and I think that's about the percentage of females the company employs as field engineers. And this is "guy's work," the job involved working long hours on oil platforms, it was loud and dirty, etc. But the company is big on diversity and tries to recruit a lot of female engineers, engineers from non-Western countries, etc.

I'd like to interject for a moment. On its own, the concept of having a malleable mind is not inherently. The greatest thinkers of civilization, from Aristotle and Socrates to Emerson and Thoreau. But, as Thoreau argued, while changing your mind upon desires and alternating beliefs is not a bad concept, doing such with the intention of conforming to and supporting society is inherently destroys individualism. I work in IT and I can tell you that half of the computers I connect to to help someone with a problem have a browser windows with Facebook open.

Besides, all research shows that forcing employees to work and only work is counterproductive. Your workers need not only breaks for food but also breaks for entertainment/talking with coworkers. It improves their focus and helps with motivation.

nobody is saying that there are zero women who are good at technology. what they are saying is that there is a disproportionate amount. not talking 45/55 split here but 90/10 as you will see in any engineering course.

there are many obvious reasons for this.

1. women do not have the competitiveness of men. they don't get buttrage losing at a game of dota. they don't want to win so bad they punch a wall when they lose.

2. they just don't want to work. why would they when they can just smile and have their life made.

3. they are terrible with math and logic. this is evident in any high school math,science class, university math,science,engineering class and GASP* post grad maths,science. any women in the sciences are in pseudo-science like social "science" or not math subjects like biology.

while men might work at a project for fun and be rewarded by the sense of accomplishment, women would just spend an hour every morning to look nice because that is how they go about their lives. they expect to land a man and be provided for.

they expect you to pay for a meal. to accede to their requests while if a man gets preferential treatment its oh noes sexism time. they get preferential treatment in custody battles. but that is quickly forgotten when the tally is counted.
