Depends on the handset. We get a chance to bonus on our pay check if we hit our goal of connections, accessories sold, etc. We don't get paid commission though.

Anything else, our markup on the phone is generally 100-250 more than it's supposed to be.

Yes and No. Philosophy is honestly to listen to the customer and assess what THEY want and not just recommend the most expensive phone.

I get paid so little I don't want to even mention it, ( but I'm leaving in less than a month for another job, hence why I'm spilling all this info). You generally get anywhere from $9 - $16 an hour depending on experience/skills.

Wherever you apply...ask the employees if the General Manager is ok....if he/she is....go for it...if not...don't bother. They make/break the store.

cant buy another phone for cheap unless your eligible for an upgrade. You can buy a phone at retail but its gunna be about $500. At least the refurb will hold you over until you're eligible for an upgrade.

Well, at costco, their cellular centre sells a 2 year warranty for only $50 and if you don't use it, they will refund the $50 back to me at the end. This is for repair only, but that's a hell of a deal for insurance.

You do have 30 days to return/exchange the device.

There is no restocking fee. Depending on the store....there might be a limit on how many times you can return/exchange it though.
