That wasn't me, but yes, I don't eat cheese. Really, you could read all about the common positions of ethical treatment of non-humans, but I know that would be boring.

In short : it's the enslavement of a sentient being that thinks, feels pain, wants to be free, and has families (as a species). Dairy cows are often repeatedly and forcibly impregnated artificially, which produces calves which they also kill. Drinking milk encourages the enslavement and exploitation of a being that just wants to be free.

I know, to you, enslavement and freedom sounds strange to be applied to non-humans, but many have feelings just as real as you and I.

    Yes, just yes.

There is a real difference between milk produced by cows who ate fresh grass and milk produced from cows who ate conserved food.

The difference is especially clear when you make butter out of the milk:
fresh grass -> yellow, soft butter (aka summer butter)
conserves food -> white, hard butter (aka winter butter)

People pay extra for winter butter, it makes economic sense to feed them green grass if it's easily available.

If you are an adult who is neither breast-feeding an infant, pregnant nor seeking to become pregnant, and wish to test a potential B12 source that has not already been shown to be inadequate, then this can be a reasonable course of action with appropriate precautions. We don't strictly need any meat and our health benefits only by a fairly small amount.

The average mass animal farm seems pretty unjustified by the amount of distress and pain it causes the animals inhabiting it. Open nature isn't all dandy either, but nowhere as cruel to animals as many farms are.

So yea, the protesters are right if not only human comfort counts for anything... sure, some are clueless hippie faggots that assume animals will be most comfortable when FORCED to sit in the open all day long, but most of them are just plain correct. We wouldn't inflict this kind of abuse to ourselves or our beloved pets even long before the part where the butchering happens. So this is not right.

It's not very profitable to spend your time doing something that your cows are not meant for and you don't have the equipment for. The same reason a logging company might drive over and completely ignore very expensive or large amounts of edible mushrooms on the forest floor - it really would NOT be worth their time.

You don't milk beef cows like dairy cows until it's time for slaughter, even if dairy cows could be chopped up for dog food or something when it's time to die.

I grew up on a farm, and let me tell you that there's nothing like letting a calf suck your dick, the suction is so incredible that you cum within a minute or so

anyone that grew up in a rural area has probably done it at some point, but not many will admit to it

China widely is how the USA is to significant parts of its inhabitants.

Slavery or near-slavery, shitty working conditions and major health risks that are not covered by anyone and will have you go bankrupt by 40, or die.

The difference appears to be that China gets better and the USA worse with more wealth in its economy... both for animals and humans.

Oh really now? So the way cows lived before humans 'interfered' was suboptimal? Nature is suboptimal? If nature was any more optimal for cows, they'd probably be eating us at this point.

I hope you don't open your mouth in a public place, because you're bursting at the seams, full of shit.

Cows, as we know them, never existed in nature. Same for dogs, or cats, or any other domesticated and selectively-bred animal.

Just like to mention, I raise Holstein cattle for beef. It's a lot cheaper to start up and can still pay off very well. It depends on your area, up in michigan we've been buying our cattle for 80-100$ a head, looks like this spring we will be getting 1.20-1.30$ per lb. Where as angus would cost 200+ a head and see 1.50+ a lb, and when you lose a calf you get hit harder. Been a great year, out of 130ish or so cattle, only lost 2. Last year out of 90 (been expanding every year) we lost 10. All about where you get your cattle from, previously we bought from livestock auctions, this year a dairy farm.
Doing some artificial breading right now into angus, even though I want to go Charolais.

Implying humans aren't natural and aren't part of nature. Implying human influence and human constructs are a departure from nature in some way.

I'd like to interject for a moment, people's conception of nature as "all of it expect for us" is a latent admission that we are part of 'all of it,' even if they lack the intellectual ability to recognize and admit it.

no no no, I've never done something like that, wouldn't be able to look at them the same. When they are young to make them follow you, you let them suck on your finger. When they get older it has more texture, but young imho it hasn't much texture.
