12/23/11(Fri)11:11 No.21801352>>21801089 But
I also said I did it on the outside, I mean, I didn't try removing fan -
I just google'd how to do it - for the record - on my laptop.
>>21801144 For me it's odd too. Of course I just briefly described what happened, If you want more details, here you go:
Few
days ago I format - first time ever - my PC and upgraded Win XP x86
-> Win 7 Pro x64. Everything worked like a charm (I only had
difficulties with sound, after fixing it sound seemed a bit off, muffed
or something). Yesterday I decided to clean the desk PC was on.
Before starting I turned PC to sleep mode, didn't completely turn it off
(I was being lazy and possibly stupid there). My first time after
format. It seemed slightly odd, since upon setting sleep mode - monitor
went to sleep instantly, while it took ~30 seconds for PC to do the
same. I tried cleaning very carefully with a slightly wet cloth. Just
the desk, under PC (not inside, per se), under router, under printer. I
didn't unplug the PC. While cleaning PC was slightly moved - but very
carefully. Oh and I wiped - with said cloth - those small openings on PC
umm ... shell? (english is not my native language) you know, the ones
for air circulation. They were almost completely covered in dust.
Then
after boot - bam - constant beeping, just like that. That's the whole
story. You see, there's no point in me hiding anything from you guys.
Since it's the internet, I'm - somewhat - annonymous. I just didn't
write all that before, because I didn't think it is relevant. I only
suspected it's odd PC won't boot just after me cleaning the desk, when
it didn't fail for over 3 years now. |
