As
I recall, SR's matrix system is set up as a decentralized series of DNS
servers, little bubbles barely connected to each other via fiber optic
cables between cities.
There's no viable 'world wide web', you
only get content based on the files stored on the specific server you're
'inside' at the time, and you can't be inside more than one.
It's a billion tiny internets, rather than one grand overarching one as we have now.
And
pretty much anything that isn't a corporate node is illegal to be
anywhere near, because the corporations wrote the rules on what is and
isn't acceptable content.
Sure as hell isn't any sort of system I'd want to have to rely on. |
