Politely invite them in, view the warrant and ask them if I can be of any assistance while I phone up my lawyer. When they get to my bedroom with my gunsafe I will open it for them while I show them my receipts that prove ownership. I have all of my hard copies of games on display above my PC on a shelf and I should hope that is enough to make them think I buy all my shit.

Alternatively, I would inform them that this is the wrong address and politely show them to the door after giving them proper directions.
    >> Anonymous 12/11/11(Sun)09:11 No.21555914
At the point where they have a search warrant you just have to open the door, review it, shut the fuck up. Don't say a word, and assert that you are invoking your right to remain silent and that you won't speak without an attorney present.

Anybody lying about having thermite hooked up above their hard drive is an idiot. Obstruction of justice is a felony and that would get you a maximum of 20 years.

Depends on the type of warrant. If you have no priors and it's unlikely that you'll destroy whatever is incriminating, it's exceedingly unlikely they'll bust down your door.

I'm convinced is all cops really want, they don't care about whatever law you broke they just want to screw with you and show their caveman dominance upon everyone, they are trained like dogs and don't really think about anything other than what master says or their personal angst. It's a job for people who want to legally beat others up and when it comes down to it hopefully they'll one day get a good enough excuse to shoot a citizen in the head because he was struggling a bit and had a flimsy rusted razor.

the police and the investigator were not very smart with it. Also, they had called more than one time asking about it. After 4 weeks, I could not even remember the password to the windows logon, and really, I was telling the truth, I did not know the encryption key, it was stored on a flash drive that was hanging around my neck(and was on the day of the Search warrant). The TPM chip wiped itself as soon as they unplugged it(which is what they do), and They never saw the flash drive around my neck. Could you memorize a 256 character long key? I couldnt, so I saved it on a flashdrive that hung on a lanyard around my neck. They never searched my person. Could say im lucky, but I never saved any of the CP, and i used eraser on the files with a 5 pass DoD wipe after I was done with them.

The police have special software and hardware for that. Usually, they use a program that ignores the MFT, and scans the data on the drive directly. They copy them off, and then can easily rebuild the array. Its not very hard, and RAID is nothing new for them, and is easily dealt with.

Not anymore. Back for 2 months after they executed the search warrant, yes, I had a tail. My dad was a cop, and taught me to spot a tail, even if they change vehicles. I actually parked, and walked back to the car, and asked them if they wanted lunch. They were pissed and not impressed, but they did come and eat lunch on me. Was quite a funny thing for me.

My encryption passphrase is 256 totally random characters (yes, true hardware RNG).

I type it in manually, and I have the system set up to take the data as if it were on a key on a flash drive by default so that it looks like you need the keyfile.

It's really not so hard to memorize things if you keep at it and enter it every day. Memorizing a 32 char totally random password takes an 10 minutes of repetition for me.

its not surprising tho, considering my dad was a mayor of a prominent city at the time. Thats why there was 31 officers at my house. They really wanted to get a conviction, because the head of the BCA loathed and hated my dad. Shortly after that, they quit following me around. I was assuming they got a GPS warrant on my phone, but that only lasts so long, and I no long have a cell phone.

Memorize it as 8 different 32 character passwords. That's what I do. I just segment them and them remember the order in which they were put. You don't even have to remember the order if you just write a script that tries every combination of all the segments (8*8 is only 64 so not that much). If you really can't remember the order.

Just 8 different 32 char passes is not a lot. Use mnemonics and shit, makes it easier.

its a natural instinct to be attracted to the most fertile women, and that happens to be puberty bound kids, and kids that have just been thru puberty. I was not attracted to girls under 10, it actually grossed me out. now I have self control enough, that I never have that issue anymore. Hell, I now know contacts to pass info on to the police.

In The Netherlands, it's not even allowed for people to arrest you for downloading something you got off of the internet.

Even a child can download something with remote ease these days. There's no stopping it once it's online.

At least the Dutch government accepts it. But of course, for America being the prison country that it is, they need to arrest people for as many reasons as they can come up with.
