Did that last year. It was a rather enjoyable experience.

Was up until about 4am (didn't start until about midnight or so) and although I know people are MORE than capable of putting together a computer at least 5x faster than that, it was my first time and I was being stupidly extra careful with everything.

I'm sure I'll be the same way. I'd prefer to make an experience out of it and feel like I could do it again more efficiently next time.

That was probably about 15 years ago now...

My first time was about 3 weeks ago with a friend, who had also never put together a computer, it was splendid.

    First time, oh boy...

I brought the parts home after work, a buddy was going to come over and watch the process.

Well he was running a few hours behind, by the time he had got there, I was half in the bag.

At that point I looked at this pile of expensive hardware and was like, "fuck it, I'm doing this tomorrow".

Woke up the next day super early and took care of buisness with a clear head.

Although it did take me way longer than it should have.

Treat it like you're preforming a science. Handle everything as if it were a baby that you wanted to keep.
