You're not really supposed to inhale cigars. If you were to smoke a cigar like you would a cigarette, you'd turn green very quickly and have a hell of a headache. At least that's my own experience from occasionally and accidently inhaling a particularly strong draw from my cigars.

I got it online from cgarsltd.co.uk it is one of their cheaper humidors. I got it as my first dive into humidors and cigar collecting. For Christmas I will probably treat myself to a more expensive one. I want one that has an exterior facing hygrometer so I don't have to keep opening the humidor to check the temp and humidity of the inside of the humidor.

Many tobacconists and online cigar places will have sampler packs for people new to cigars to try. It's how I first got started. I think in total I tried about 6 different sampler packs with many different size and types of cigars. I found that I preferred a milder smoke from the Fonseca KDT cadetes for an every other day smoke (which are the ones pictured in my humidor above, and for a once every couple of weeks, I have the Romeo Y Julieta Petite Coronas.

Every single person who I've ever lent a cigar to has not been able to smoke cigarettes for months afterward without forcing themselves to get through the bad taste.
If there were no filter on cigarettes, you'd taste nothing BUT shitty taste. Cigarettes themselves are processed differently from cigars, hence the different taste.

My grandfather died of cancer that started out as a malignant tumor in his mouth and mestastized before diagnosis. It was stage 4 and inoperable when diagnosed, and he died in the hospital.

He lived far away and was busy managing my schizophrenic Aunt so we didn't speak much. I can't honestly remember our last words. It was probably good given that the last time I remember speaking to him was after he left my house to go back south.

Anyhow, cigars are expensive, life is short, and there's not much of a benefit to smoking them. I'm not going to tell you all that you're wrong, or stupid, etc. for smoking them, but personally I don't see a need.

Well, gee, let's try and figure this out. You say you enjoy finer things in life yet what it looks like what you actually enjoy is showing others what passes for the sterotype of "finer things in life". If I enjoyed cigars (and didn't know they cause cancer) I'd smoke them. If I wanted peer-acceptance I'd post about it on 4chan.

How can you compare a genetic disease that you might or might not have with causing self-harm? It's OK to drink bleach - I've got AIDS.

I have smoked many different types of cigars. Not all are good even if they are expensive. Acids are one of those cigars that I smoke on a rare occasion when I don't feel like spending a lot of time relaxing while I smoke it. To me the experience of smoking a good cigar goes hand in hand with my time after work and when I have a drink in hand.

Cigars are awful. The taste that is left in your mouth is horrible. I cannot comprehend how you could enjoy smoking that.

I've smoked some incredible outdoor, it can be better than indoor if the grower is good. A friend of mine grows some short-finishing indica around here in New England, it'll put you on the floor with half a bowl. The trick is to feed correctly, avoid chemical ferts, make sure the soil is full of compost and humus, a healthy soil biota is essential to healthy plants. Osmocote supplemented with molasses, comfrey tea, and epsom salts is what he feeds, I've never seen those plants get any kind of mold or infection.

And I do use carbon filters. The smell can be noticeable after I've been gone from home for a while but it's almost nothing.

I'm from Eurofagland. Weed is illegal in my country and can mean up to 2 years in jail but it's not enforced with such ferocity as it is in other countries. I mostly mean the US.

I don't worry really. Truth be told there is a much higher chance of getting busted with weed on a party somewhere than when growing on a small scale in our own apartment.

Oh, and most people here wouldn't know weed if it stared them in the face, smelling it is another issue entirely.

As a former addict, I can tell you that heroin is worth every side effect, as long as you're high. Once you start coming down you just want more. The only things you have to care about when nodding are remembering to breathe, and trying not to melt holes in your carpet with your cigarette. Heroin isn't even particularly harmful, it's the poor injection hygiene and the addiction that gets you.

    Alcoholism is chemical dependency, dipshit.

And whats the fucking difference? They're both addictions.

    >>21304727
And whatever shit it might be cut with.

Not DARE-level stuff (durr drano), but if i'm gonna be injecting stuff in my veins, i only want it to be heroin.

I hate needles anyway, so luckily i'm not a group at risk.

Harmful cuts are uncommon, the dealer loses profits if his users are dying from shooting ajax and iced tea powder, the vast majority of cuts are benign, usually mannitol, inositol, lactose, or quinine.

You must be new here... welcome to 4chan.
If anon didn't post off topic and troll the threads would be few and very short.

Are you the guy I was talking to? Is this your response? "Contributing" to a thread because it's not /g/ related?

    That's amazingly stupid.

I am well aware of the existence of the random board, thank you very much.

Back to the topic at hand, if I were to gift a cigar to my father who is not an experienced smoker but expressed interest in trying some, which one would I get? Bonus points for nice packaging.

Alcoholism is a dependency on alcohol, not an addiction TO it. Alcohol is just a depressant, there is no chemical property of alcohol that may lead to chemical dependency.
    >And whats the fucking difference? They're both addictions.
The difference between night and day.

It's okay to have the occasional off-topic thread because not everybody wants to deal with the /b/ community when they just want to have some discussion about something "random". It's when it dominates the board that it becomes a problem.

You amuse yourself by making others feel mad.
You think this is healthy behavior?

Did you know Steve Jobs held off on getting a proper operation for his cancer because of "alternative" treatments like that?

About the only good thing alternative medicine ever did.
