These
people are NOT just stupid college kids and if that is your reason why
you don't defend the protests I feel very fucking sorry that you are so
narrow-minded. Nobody except very few people benefit if the current
trend of the richer getting even richer and the middle class being
systematically destroyed continues, let alone gets worse if another
corporate puppet like Cain or Perry get elected.
You don't
profit, your children don't profit and your grandchildren most certainly
won't profit because I doubt that they will have clean air to breathe,
water to drink or land to farm just because "it was good for the
economy" today.
It's so fucking unfortunate that this 1960 kind
of mindset of socialism vs capitalism stuck to America and every time
some people stand up for themselves they get called "dirty hippies" and
immediately attacked. Do you not see that the reason why they're telling
you that the protesters are dirty socialist college kids fighting for
communism is that they're actually scared of a revolution?
A
healthy society rests on 2 pillars: Democracy and Wealth. If democracy
is turned to a plutocracy or oligarchy where only very few people rule
the majority of the people, sooner or later the citizens will realize
that their needs are no longer appreciated.
If as a result of a
few gamblers at wall street millions of americans are suddenly
unemployed, lose their home, their life savings, their hope and their
future, the second pillar is destroyed.
There wouldn't be
hundreds of thousands of protesters in over 1500 cities if something
wasn't fundamentally wrong with our system
A German news poll done by ARD:

>Do you agree with the protesters worldwide that criticize the influence of banks and corporations on the government?
>Yes: 91% >No: 3% |
