- First phone with that GPU. Not much else to say here, could be underwhelming.

- The camera relies more on the sensor.

No assburgers here…
But tell me, how is it progress to simply throw some hardware on stuff, instead of focusing on real progress, as in making the hard and software as efficient as possible. Unlike Processors, batteries did not change much in the last few years.
And essentially you can still use a sub 500MHz computer for productive work in many fields, so why should a fricking phone need more than that?

It doesn't need a dual core CPU with over 1GHz frequency, just like a desktop computer doesn't need more than for example a single core 1GHz CPU, but it's very nice to have.

I just don't think it makes any sense. Samsung, who manufactures the phone, have already started manufacturing Exynos SoC with 32nm transistors and a CPU frequency of 1.5GHz, oh and they are also talking about a >40% performance increase over the current Exynos SoC.

A 1.2GHz dual core A9 CPU is really disappointing since those have been on the market for almost half a year now.

Well I guess that's true.

I hope it's a really good sensor and lens, because the Galaxy S 2, which I see as a predecessor, has the best camera on the market (even better than the iPhone 4S according to some reviewer, will get the link soon).

Not samefag. But soft- and hardware haven't progressed simultaneously since the 90s. Hardware is way ahead of software. You can see by the fact of how long it took to adapt 64bit software/os on mass market after there were 64bit cpus (and still does). Or how long it took and still takes to adapt software to use efficient multi threading. There simply is too little incentive to make run software more efficient on available hardware because hardware progresses too fast.
