Once again, you'll have to use not only the train but the cityrail network to know the true disdain that it's patrons feel.
This year basically the whole network got brought down for 2-3 hours.

fuck your neat looking trains this is what i had to watch for 2 hours during my layover in Washington DC

what made it even worse was that the driver of it was incompetent as fuck. He was trying to pull 2 Diesel-Electric locomotives plus another one of these little bastards out of the way, and on then DE closest to him he apparently hadnt taken off the parking brake. So for 80 minutes i watched him: rev up the engine in the tug trying to move everything, backing down, getting out and checking all the connections, getting in, and doing it again.
Finally someone else came up, got into the cab of the DE and disabled the brake.
I hate the general american train system i really do. Although those Acela trains do look pretty sweet.

Roermond-Venlo-Nijmegen is by far the worst. These trains are 100% crowded by Cuijk (usually earlier) EVERY FUCKING MORNING. I don't mean "no place to sit", I mean "no place to stand".

"Hey, lets buy these Italian trams! They should be great!"

Half of them break down for no apparent reason during the winter, so 40 of them are in storage, forcing the city to bring out the shitty 60 year old trams.

Oh, and they're the wrong track gauge by a few mm too, so they make an extremely ear-raping squealing whenever they turn.
