As far as I can tell, it's 7 with slower drivers, unfinished Metro, IE10 and ribbon Explorer. If this doesn't sound appealing, then don't install it. It's only really around for Metro app developers.

I still don't see the problem with Metro apps having standard desktop installers. Whatever method developers can use to side-load apps could almost certainly be switched on by a desktop installer with admin privileges. Like I said, it will be cracked and then everything will be fine.
