    /g/,

I want a smartphone on the cheap. Ebaying all evening has lead me to believe that I have one of two options:

HTC HD2 or HTC Nexus One.

Which one would you like better?

HD2. And install WP7 on it.

    How cheap is cheap?

I have a Samsung Galaxy Mini GT-S5570. I don't think you can go cheaper than that.

    Enjoy your WinMo6/WinPho7/Linux/Android/MeeShit 2345678-booting.

Nexus one. It's faster, comes with Android out of the box and it's much more comfortable.

Chaos is nice, some people on the JUB forums have theorized that their shift to bareback-only caused the quality of their models to go down

In any event CF can burn in a fire, its models are nice but lol "thieving little shits" and suing over Swedish unicorns

    >>19892223
But the HD2 can do more and will last until the world switches to LTE only.

I'd pick the Nexus One, personally. You can install WP7 on the HD2, but if you plan on using only android on the HD2, the Nexus One is probably a better option, given that it receives updates very quickly.

Google Voice on WP7 leaves a lot to be desired, especially considering WP7 can't multitask (yet, until next month) among other things.

i would say the HD2 would be a very fun toy, considering it runs every mobile OS besides iOS
but if i was aiming for a stable phone i would go for the N1, because it's still one of the best android phones in alot of respects

    OP here,

Just thought I'd chime in to say I won an unlocked HD2 for exactly $200. Only thing is it comes with WinMo6.5 of course, so hopefully installing Gingerbread on it wont be too much of a big deal,

Looking forward to a smartphone, My iPod touch has been amazing but is now long in the tooth with a cracked screen, and my LG Voyager is even LONGER in the tooth,

I will definitely look into WP7 once some easy Mango modding/DIY installs start floating around. Hopefully using a prepaid data SIM w/ Google Voice on Mango will function well.
