    >truck drivers still using pay phones to communicate load info with their dispatchers
This shit was understandable back in 1997, but for fucks sake... stop having bitch fits when they get taken out of service because they can't turn a profit and take up space.

I worked at a bookstore that used win95 on their server for the register system. Up until 2008. Worse part is because their POS system ran on DOS. And it's not like they didn't take in tons of money

Dot Matrix printers make delicious sounds though.

Seriously though, I haven't dealt that much with antiquity: I work as a store butcher, and a knife is a knife is a knife.

    A meat-saw is a meat-saw is a meat-saw.
(I think the carpenters call it a band saw. It was invented by a butcher who called it a meat saw, so fuck you carpenters.)

I mean, sure, I deal with 15 year old gear all the time, but industrial means that it will last with proper maintenance. It's not antiquated until it catches fire and/or kills someone.

just use 100Hz. if you're gonna game on a 4:3 LCD from like 2006, you really don't know much. first off, you're gonna have vertical sync in the way that will cap your FPS at the refresh rate (inb4 turn it off, doesn't matter, it's still gonna cap it at that, so you're just gonna get jittery movement when you increase the games' FPS over the refresh rate), slower response time, usually pretty terrible contrast etc

Yeah, I'd want a 4:3 LCD that doesn't suck. There are some, they're just ridiculously expensive.
