OK /g/ it's the age old question.

Is there such a thing as a decent laptop?

I just want some god damn quality. I don't need super specs, like gaming graphics cards or blu-ray optical drives. I've tried picking out a portable gaming machine before. It obviously doesn't work.

I want it to be lightweight, but not like a plastic toy. Small but substantial for it's size, doesn't feel hollow. A good battery life. Aesthetically pleasing, no bevels, circles, or dull grays. Colors only if they look good. Preferably a matte screen.

Does such a laptop exist? Is this just a figment of my imagination? It's not an impossible design, so it must exist, right?

netbooks are shit. You can get a much better laptop for the same price that will actually run the OS and play 1080p video.

too big and heavy. The battery probably lasts like 30 minutes, and it probably gets hot enough to singe your pants. I wouldn't bother with it if you want any portability at all.

That's a little better. It would still be quite a battery drainer, though.

    Dear faggot,

There are only four possibilities for decent notebooks:

    HP EliteBook series
    Lenovo T series
    Apple MacBook Pro series
    Dell Precision series

If you go with any other brand you will undoubtedly be disappointed.

    Kind regards,
    The Perfectionist
