07/12/11(Tue)01:16 No.18722529Hi, my name is Rudy M. Welcome to Apple! How may I help you today? I
have a complaint about your company's current philosophy in regards to
the naming of its products. Don't you think the excessive use of the
pronoun "I" only serves to add to and encourage the already high level
of narcisissm in this fair country? iPad, iPod, iMac. I, I, I. ME, ME,
ME. People are already self-centered as it is without having it
subliminally validated as a "lifestyle choice" by the marketing of your
commercial products. You might say "Oh, well that's precisely WHY we use
the pronoun "I" in our products! It is to appeal to the modern man (or
woman)! That's the secret to our succes!" And to this point, I'd like to
refer you to another successful electronics company which I feel is on
the right track, and which doesn't rely on cheap gimmicks or petty
manipulations: Nintendo. As you can see, all of their products have inclusive names: Wii ("We"), Wii U ("Wii and YOU"). Thank you for your feedback. This
naming philosopy takes the focus off of the individual and places it
(rightly I might add) on the community. It raises consciousness and
makes people better in the long run. It encourages people to love one
another. And they still make loads of money! Your products, on the
other hand, encourage people to be greedy, selfish, spiteful, and
vindictive. And most of all, isolated, which is the most grevious sin of
all (since it leads to all other spiritual sins). This feedback is important to us. PLease let me give you the right place to offer it to Apple so it can be documented. Really,
how does it feel to know that you're harming people mentally and
spiritually when you really don't need to be? You can survive without
this narcissistic corporate image you push onto the American public. Why
not choose to do the right thing, now that you know? Please let me get you a link so you can once again paste all this information. |
