My camera isn't all that great, but there's no geotagging going on.
And it's got a decent flash, so no lights on apart from the monitors.

It's much better than anything found in state-of-the-art smartphones.
The zoom isn't that great, but it can actually be used for some creepy shots from my window.

I got it for Christmas 5 years ago (I think).
It was $500 or something, so not exactly cheap compared to what you can get for the same money today.

A Canon IXUS 1000 HS is about $350 here in Denmark ($230 on Amazon.com), I think. Quite affordable.
Even the poorest of fags should be able to buy that.

I'm not an expert on the subject, but even I know that these numbers are all marketing and buzzwords.
Huge grainy pictures and youtube-like video quality is most likely what you're getting.

What you want is actual hardware.
Canon's compact cameras are pretty solid, and the 1000 HS has the Digic IV processor, which is pretty good.
I think it's the same as the one used in their other high-end consumer models.

You don't *have* to. But some tubes sound better than others, and if I owned a tube amp, I would roll tubes to find the best ones. So I went solid state to prevent myself from shelling out hundreds on new tubes to try.

Plus, my last tube amp, the tubes are becoming very hard to find now, so that was also a turn off from tube amps. Still have a box of them sitting around though.
