I get the Cityrail daily. Sucks at peak hour but the carriages are near-empty the rest of the time. They come pretty regularly too, even on the weekend. 4/5 stars because half the carriages are still K-sets from the 80s that have no airconditioning.

On a related note, Wollongong has probably the worst time services ever, one delay between waterfall and wolli creek and everything's thrown out.

At peak times going into Sydney isn't the most pleasant thing on earth. No fucking foot room unless you get on at one of the earlier stops

For the record since you both seem to know your shit, will they be getting rid of ALL the old L, R, S, K and C sets when they bring in the Waratahs or will they be keeping the old air conditioned ones?
Also how hard would it be to convert the old L R and S sets to air-con if the Waratah deal falls through
