NEW YEARS RESOLUTION TO GET FIT?

Let's face it. You're likely going to waste hundreds of dollars on a year-long gym membership and only go for the month of January and take up all the equipment that people who actually work out want to use.

BUT IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE LIKE THAT

How can I avoid being a pathetic fatass? READ THE FUCKING STICKY

Asking questions that are clearly answered in the sticky will result in a ban. And just as a BROTIP: even if it is your resolution to get fit, don't mention it in your posts.

/fit/, i'm a runner. What kind of lifts could i do to make myself more aesthetic, but still be an efficient runner.

Pic is me in flexing and lighting mode, but gives you an idea.

lol when you become serious about lifting and stop being skinnyfat or a neckbeard (whichever applies to you) you become pickier about what you would consider a good body.
Oh also you are probably a samefag

I did normal p90x and then p90x doubles with running.

I got better at pushups and pullups, my cardio improved, and I lost some weight. Didn't gain any mass. Got in really good shape though.

    All depends on your goals.
    >> Anonymous 12/28/10(Tue)15:31 No.5606836
i gained some nice mass with it
you will need a backpack with some sand if you wanna progress with pushups and shit though

Now that I have your attention.
So, /fit/, when I squat, my heels cant touch the ground. Only the front of my foot. If my heels touch the ground I simply fall on my ass. Obviously, this sucks. When I do squats I have to put weights behind my heels, so I dont lose balance and fall backwards. I've got no problems doing that in the gym, but if I have to simply squat without weights I still dont have perfect balance. So my question is this: is it a flexibility problem? Can it be solved? I dont think its in the ankles, I feel some ligaments right below the knees stringing when I try go touch my heels to the ground. tl;dr cant squat properly with my heels on the ground, or I fall on my ass.

I would have expected stringy bodies to be better suited for tennis, since they are lighter, and since most pro tennis players that I've seen appear to be that way. But what do I know? That guy's the best player, after all.

no. nadal demolished gilles simon (stringy body) in a match they played quite a while ago.

although you are right about the lighter aspect. nadal had to lose a few pounds because his knees could not support the gargantuan frame he had around 2 years back.
