Living in a nice home is important to your mental health and also plays a big role in the social game, other boards have battlestation threads and /fa/ cares about appearances more than any other boards (except maybe /fit/). So, interior decoration thread. Is your appartment looking as fa as you? Tips to improve your personal space are welcome.

fuck no it's a full bed, a tube tv on some old ass paint cracked chair, a dresser from the 70's, a bookcase from the 80's, and a desk my grandfather made.... along with dozens upon dozens of drum related things and books.

i've never had a guy or girl criticize my room and dampen my "social game" as you say. and it most certainly is the most relaxing setting i can think of for my own spiritual health.

personally when i see rooms like yours i cringe a bit, reminds me of a hotel suite.

Right my picture is being vomited by the system.

    Reduced size.

This is my uni halls room, so whilst I can choose a chair, what to put on the walls and my bedlinen, the curtains and furniture are not my choice.

The Pantone cards on the wall are dual purpose, they add a whole load of colour to the wall and break the tedium of the bare walls without growing old in 20 minutes, and I'm colourblind, so having a massive, readily available colour reference is wonderful.

    Ugh same!
I love going into houses that are cluttered and feel so personal, like it is really their house and could be no one elses. Those houses that are all neat and the whole room is colour coordinated and such just feel so impersonal.

My room is one of those rooms with drawings and shit people gave me all over the place, my art stuff in one corner and spots of paint everywhere, tons of books, tons of knickknacks and junk, things I've made, drawings and writing on my desk, etc etc.
I absolutely love it in here.

but this is the other extreme? a bunch of shit that would be creepy to wake up to.

some white space with a few vibrant things to focus on is actually soothing to the mind. all white is unnerving because you can't focus on anything, and too much clutter is unnerving because you can't decide on what to focus.

    balance is everything.
