you can't go wrong with solid color tees, either crew neck or v-neck

NUMBER ONE RULE OF /fa/ : Fit is everything

NUMBER TWO RULE OF /fa/ : If you aren't sure, don't buy it.

For jeans, if you can get to a Levis outlet store. Most pairs are sub $60 and great quality. In terms of specifics, Black Levi 511's look awesome (slim fit, slim leg) and an assortment of light and dark blue 511's and 514's make up a good collection. I prefer to stick with skinny leg, but straight leg can look good too.

You should also look into getting yourself a pair of slim fit khakis or chinos as well, to go with components of your wardrobe.

For tops, stick to basic single coloured crew and v neck shirts (earth tones are best). Blue and white oxford shirts are great as well. Also, a good checked shirt or two aren't bad to have.

For shoes, finish off the look with a pair of brown deck shoes, desert boots, or chuck taylors.
