/fa/, I need help. I'm a highschoolfag, and I just can't seem to find good clothing. I'm incredibly jealous of my best friend, who is a girl, who gets to wear such good-looking clothing and make looking great look extremely simple.

In a high school environment, where most guys wear either fuckbaggy South Pole shit, American Aerocrombie and Eagle, Hot Topic shit (my previous dress of choice, band tees and skinny jeans,) or whatever their mothers buy them, what can I wear that will set me apart as good-looking and well-dressed?

Massfag who has no problem ordering things online here.

inb4 /b/ comes back with more afros.

I'm in highschool too. I know, shitty.

If you dress too well you look like a egofuck. avoid anything toooo extravagant.

Start with some dark denim slacks that fit well. Get raws if you can.

    Wear a belt. Always.

Get some slim fitting shirts in a variety of seasonal colors. Check the Gap. Also, invest in some v neck t-shirts.

Ditch all band tees. All of them.

get some nice sneakers. go for classic over trendy, ie chuck taylors, jack purcells, anything with a slim profile and a simple look.

Get some nice dress shoes. Let your dad or mom pick these out with you because they know better than you about dress shoes.

Find a nearby thrift shop. I got these buckskins at a thrift shop for free. you will find cooler things here than anywhere else you can afford.

find a trendy jacket at a nice store. When you get a jacket splurge because this will define how your outfit comes together.

anyways that should be enough to get you started.

listen to this except for converse. never ever wear converse.

And maybe 1 band t shirt every once in awhile is fine.

THE ANSWER TO MOST "WHERE CAN I FIND A SLIM-FITTING, CHEAP [X]?" QUESTIONS

    - Uniqlo
    - H&M
    - Urban Outfitters
    - Topman

There are a lot of links there for online shopping. Here are the ones I keep bookmarked. Most of these stores do international shipping, but I've broken them up by region anyway.

    LAST BIT OF ADVICE:

Don't let retail intimidate you. Once you've lurked around enough and have found a brand or particular piece you like, check here:
http://www.superfuture.com/supertalk/forumdisplay.php?f=14 (check the tags at the bottom)
    http://www.styleforum.net/forumdisplay.php?f=11
    http://stylezeitgeist.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=50
    http://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/
    http://www.ebay.com/

    I've found --
    - selvedge denim for $50 (like new, retail $265)
    - Common Projects for $75 (lightly used, retails $300)
    - Adam Kimmel blazer (hand made in Italy, retails $750) for $150, among sundry other finds.

Have patience, lurk moar and have fun, anon.
