12/19/11(Mon)19:43 No.98826>>98319 You
really do talk way too much. Seriously. If someone is looking for video
game footage, they usually want to hear the game, too.
I mean,
if I were making a Let's Play video, I'd briefly introduce the game (the
year it takes place, its backstory and premise, etc) as I launched it.
I'd let any opening cinematic play without interruption, then start a
new game. I WOULD NOT say my username as I typed it in, I wouldn't
mention how many times I've played it, I wouldn't talk about previous
times I've played the game before I start.
If your audience is
searching for an LP video for a video game they've heard of but never
seen, do you really think they want to hear you talking over and mocking
a character during the opening cinematic?
During gameplay, you
should only talk to comment on something significant, or read out the
text for the viewers (since, at youtube's resolution, it can be very
difficult to read). I mean, an occasional "Whoa!" or "Holy crap!" is
fine, as is "Ok... , that thing went right, so I think I'm going to go
left" but you just keep talking. |
