  • We are still working on some of the outstanding CloudFlare issues. We are aware of an issue affecting IE users where all images are saved as BMP and are working on a fix. We will also be sending proper Last-Modified headers on HTML starting early next week (works on our end, waiting on a fix from CDN). And still tracking down the issues with posting/accessing sys.4chan.org.

I've gotten a few e-mails from Australian users about difficulty resolving 4chan DNS and accessing the site. If you are affected, please e-mail moot@4chan.org with more specifics like your ISP, and what the 4chan subdomains are resolving to (run "nslookup boards.4chan.org" and "nslookup www.4chan.org" from command prompt/terminal).

    Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving!
    Love, mootykins

I totally forgot to take photos of the tracing..

But it's quite simple. I took the 'Waves of Kanegawa' picture and stretched it out so it would fit nicely on 4x A4 sized papers.
Then I simply put the paper onto the screen and traced softly.

I marked all the colors so it would be easier further ahead.

Hurr, mouth stuffed, forgetting to post the actual pictures.

Once I was done with tracing the paper, I traced it onto regular white fabric using tracing-paper.

I kept the papers for the painting later.

Sorry for the lack of quality on those photos, I could only bring my compact camera.

I crafted the steelframe before the actual tracing so I knew it would make a fit. It's quite flimsy but with everything it holds together nicely. I would've welded it together but none was available.

If I am to make a new one, I would make it properly and make sure it could be sold.

Once the painting was done, which I of course forgot to take photos of, I cut all the excess fabric off after measuring and fitting it to the frame.
I folded the edges twice and sow it together. I'd recommend not folding it though, it shows up too much when putting the lights on.

Oh, I painted it all with a toothpick..!

After making sure it would fit onto the frame sown together, I made the lid, shaping it after the top frame.

I figured it would look better with a string attached at the top border.

    I guess it did.

    All put together!

Sure it looks crooked, but it's all angles and you can adjust it. Would've been better if I could weld or solder it together.

I think I'd make a sky the next time. Not sure if I should paint it or make it out of fabric, on the inside.

As for using this kind of lightbulb, I will make a diffuser out of a material that can withstand the temperature.

I would also paint it more thuroughly since it shines through.
Perhaps I could make it with that t-shirt printing technique, I've lost the name..

But since I'm gay for UV I'll stick with this for now.

I'll try using colorfilters for spotlights later, might work.

    But overall thought of this..

I'd make the steelframe in the center so you don't see it at the corners. Squares with a stick between..?
Top and bottom border looking the same.
    More thurough painting/printing.
    More stable frame.

    What do you all think?
