I would go down to the local goodwill and buy a solid(ish) mountain bike with a lot of space in the v-frame.
Then
I would order a one-cylinder, two-stroke engine for that bike with all
the mounting hardware (they sell kits on ebay) and maybe a shiftkit.
To
be on the safe side since these are chinese engines, I'd order extra
engine internals since I'd most likely do a complete tear-down and
overhaul on the engine the day I receive it to make sure everything
works; even a carburetor rebuild.
And voila, you've got a fun street legal* motorized bicycle!
tl;dr:
Buy cheap chinese bicycle engine kit on ebay, possibly shift
kit/transmission (for gas mileage), and bike if you dont have one
already. Buy engine internals just in case. Make cheap fun motorized
bicycle.
*= legally, this counts as a "motor assisted" bicycle,
since you have to pedal it to start the engine. So you dont have to
register it or get your M class or all that good stuff. |
