Yeah pretty much, but the kats attending Otakon are there for anime. If you want 4chan at a convention, go to something like lulzcon, or what ever it was called.

Anime conventions were amazing back in the day, when people realized that they were never going to meet people like they were meeting during the convention, any other time. Now-a-days though, you have people sulking around talking about how their panel wasn't on time, or just running around screaming out dumb sayings, instead of just enjoying that they are surrounded by people who are all into the same thing they are. You could walk over to some one and strike up a conversation about an anime like Higurashi, and have people understand what you are talking about. And even if they don't know the anime you may be talking about, the person in question will at least be damn interested in what you have to say about it.

But no, while anime conventions are still entertaining, they are of a different type of entertainment...all while being a huge 3 day baby sitting service for some grateful parents.

he was with 3 people
i think one was a 14 year old white kid with short blone hair in a flat non puffy bowl cut fashion
the other was a girl that looked like the same age (both other party members were like under 5 or just barely reaching 5 feet or so)
she had hair down to her upper mid back and was all fritzy(35%) curly (65%) and had black plastic 1/8" rimmed glasses
i dont remember what each of them wore
the culprit in question was also a 14-16 year old brown skinned (looked more hispanic) kid with long (10%) fritzy (90%) wavy black hair going down to his mid back
he was topless except with a black cape somewhat a la zoro except with some kinda subtle reflective design
his face looked like some kinda beaner with a thin to short mustache and had maybe bushy eyebrows
the entire appearance to me seemed like he wanted to do 300 cosplay but was too short too beaner too unfit to do so
his body was like somewhat fit/muscular but like muscular after being fat for years so he had some ab definition but had sacks of fat on the side
he had on black pants or dark pants if i remember correctly and i think he had a lucky star badge (very unsure about the badge)
i tried to glance at his name but was unable to
but in general on sunday he looked like a little gay boy trying to lead his pack (of 2 retarded Junior high kids) to try to keep YOU LOST THE GAMEing people
