I dunno, I think I would if I had previously made a post indicating that I was hard at work thinking about how to make 4chan better and that I was determined to be more communicative with the community.

This is normal for his way of handling 4chan, I agree, but he specifically said that he was considering more public bans, etc... and on the whole having mods and him take a more public role in the site. It feels like he's off having fun while we're all twiddling our thumbs wondering what the hell was happening. If there's nothing that he can tell us that we don't already know, then why bother making a post about it except for the sake of posterity?

I'm pretty sure that's youth. He was having trouble getting online for a while and I guess he never bothered to ask until today, when I gave him the link to the IP addresses. I don't know if he was acting on a new direction based on moot's advice or if he was just having fun for shits and giggles. I know that it was ME who had to give him the IP addresses, leading me to think that moot just never told him (but then again why would he have to? This DNS issue shouldn't have happened at all, so there should have been no need to tell people the new IP addresses.
