    ---------------------------

"I have more than a few things to say about this. First of all, when did it begin to show that it was nearing the end? I would guess that Saturday when every show was a repeat from the previous week. I don't know what went wrong, everything looked okay. I didn't hear any rants on the internet that Toonami was going under and maybe taking Adult Swim with it.

Now we're going to hear all about how some people think how Toonami is over. Personally,I don't think it is. At the end of Samurai Jack, there was a small scene where Tom said how it was over and he wished everyone had good memories. He said "Bang" like Spike did at the end of Cowboy Bebop,I guess it was true that he was the same voice actor.

It was sort of unfair that Moribito wasn't even given a chance, and what about Shin Chan? The whole thing is messed up,but I don't really blame viewers. I sort of blame them, like the freak schedule changes at the last minute and you would watch one thing when your cable tv schedule showed another.

Lastly,I don't think many who watch now were there when it first began. If go along the idea that the people who watch AS now are in their early 20's then they were just children when Toonami began. You need to be older in order to remember,I guess most came along the time of Tenchi Muyo and G Gundam, which was 2002-2004 I think."

    >who watch AS now are in their early 20's then they were just children when Toonami began. You need to be older in order to remember
I don't understand this logic. It's our childhood.

The best shows were Blood and Neon Genesis.

I'm 18 and I'd been watching Toonami since Moltar hosted. :/

I used to watch Thundercats on that shit, then Dragon Ball Z and ReBoot and Sailor Moon for a while... but Tenchi debuted in 2000 just so we're clear on that. And I watched the first episode right after getting home from a girl scouts troop meeting. : D

I'm sad about moribito that show was golden
    >> Anonymous 09/21/08(Sun)21:16 No.5923127
Wait what? Morbito is Adult Swim. AS is fine.

Also Bang was a reference to past Tom's or Spike? I'm pretty sure other Toms have said but all have the same VA who was Spike so maybe iunno.

Also wtf is that guy saying
    >> Anonymous 09/21/08(Sun)21:17 No.5923138
I think a lot of the shitty stuff was probably the actual network's fault. Toonami probably didn't have a choice with the new TOM look, and they probably weren't given much leeway anymore on what they could do and what shows they could air.

    >>5923127
I think he is say that cause the people that use to watch Toonami all the time don't watch it and are starting to not watch AS it is our fault they are dead/dying.

    >>5923127
Other TOMs have most definitely said it. I remember after watching Cowboy Bebop and hearing that, I thought I recognized that voice when I watched Toonami the next day, then I knew for sure it was the same guy when TOM said bang before it went to commercial break.

    Damn you Cartoon Network
    >> Anonymous 09/21/08(Sun)21:24 No.5923215
Wait, so, I was 9 when Toonami started. Are you telling me that I had to be 12 to remember it?

Seriously? So, I don't remember when Moltar was on, when they played Macross(Robotech version), or Voltron? What?

We weren't even the original Adult Swim demographic. So...what?
    >> Anonymous 09/21/08(Sun)21:24 No.5923218

TOM's new look was Toonami's fault. They got a bigger budget for the Toonami stuff and that meant that they could actually do faces. The network killed everything else about it though. Moving there times when ever they wanted to show some shitty movie. Or making them do an HOUR of Naruto cause it makes them more money. I know Naruto was the new DBZ but they shouldn't of just relied only on that after the other shows didn't go so well(Prince of Tennis and MAr). Seems like the old CN might have fought to keep it going when they just started. Then again it could be wishful thinking

Not only that but I'm 21 and remember EARLY Toonami quite clearly. The person the OP quoted is a moron.

yeah, they should've AT LEAST held onto Bo-bobo, too. I liked that anime. Actiony, but drunkenly-confident enough to be absurd and stupid.

    I LOVED IT!!!
    >> Anonymous 09/21/08(Sun)21:31 No.5923290
I'm goddam nineteen, and I fucking remember Moltar. fucking people are idiots
    >> Anonymous 09/21/08(Sun)21:32 No.5923296
I remember Moltar hosting. I remember old low quality Tom.

I'm 18. I grew up watching Toonami. I'm sure most of us grew up watching Cartoon network programming.

    >>5923151
I watch Adult Swim constantly. I still watched Toonami until the end, despite the terrible shows, Samurai Jack was redeeming (even though I have all of the episodes already).
    >> Anonymous 09/21/08(Sun)21:34 No.5923313
I didn't understand a word of what OP quoted.

    That boy ain't right.
    >> Anonymous 09/21/08(Sun)21:34 No.5923315
Tenchi Muyo was the second anime I ever saw, after DBZ.

I recall how fucked up it seemed that Ayeka originally wanted to marry her brother

    Who says I'm a girl

Maybe I'm a very confused boy with a few problems, you ever think of that? : (
