It'll have new bumpers about the shows that are airing, new promos and a new videogame review.
If you were really expecting them to put old shows back, then you deserve to be disappointed.

Considering I didn't like the anime parts of old Toonami and only watched it for the good shows. Yeah, I'd say I'm disappointed. VERY disappointed.

It feels like having enjoyed a delicious pizza with a dozen delicious toppings and sadly, the anchovies which were the anime. But I picked off the anchovies and enjoyed the rest immensely. But then they stopped serving the pizza for years.

Now they've brought it back under the name "classic", and I've gotten all excited for that delicious pizza taste I recall so well, but what I get is a big oily bowl of anchovies. Nothing but anchovies.

So the usual wait time for the English release to come out is 2 years after the show has aired or released completely on dvd/bd in Japan.
Some shows are exceptions to this and are released 1 year instead of two if the Japanese publishing company have their own US branch or US publishers offer a lot of money.
It's been about 1 year since T&B has started airing so there might be a chance of the dub being released earlier than usual.

Adult Swim is simply testing the waters before any actual dedication. So on the whole yes, it seems like the adult swim anime day but with Tom and two new shows. However, adult swim actually bought two new anime shows to host on it. They are investing in it, to try to have a niche in the adult swim lineup that isn't just MORE COMEDY SHOWS. If it works, we get more anime variety on tv. If it doesn't, Tom goes away. Either way, we got two new anime on adult swim. I would say that is a victory in and of itself.

For now they just turned the established anime block into Toonami and added two more shows. If it gets hits, they'll have more money to fund it, license more shit and improve it. So let's be patient.

Remember that Toonami began like that, at first it was just re-runs being presented by Moltar, and it succeeded.

I can't say i'm optimistic, but if there's a chance of sucess, better do our best and not fuck this up.

all i care is that toonami gives the block some kind of good identity, since cartoon network doesn't really have much variety/fun bumpers anymore. i don't care whether it's a new branding or a copy of an old branding, but having some sort of name and mythology around a block (no matter how silly or trite) makes watching tv more fun than merely torrenting shows. right now there's not much of a difference
