Honestly 4Kids hasn't had a very good track record for good dubs. It's not that making it localized is a bad thing, but sometimes it just handled poorly. If Wakfu does ever make it to the English speaking audience I hope that they find a good team of people to do that properly, and I wish it success. But if it does fall into the hands of 4kids... I'd be pretty disappointed actually. Could they make it awesome? Well there is always that possibility, but like I said given their track record I kinda doubt it.

Aside from Broken Glass (S2E11) and The Hero (S2E22) any soundtrack in the series is made specifically for the episodes by Ankama (most of them by the lead compositer Guillaume Houze who also composed the opening theme)
Those tracks only exist as standalones in Ankama's computers and haven't been released anywhere publicly.

Most of them are also less than a minute long since they're tailor-made for specific scenes, so they would need more work to be released as real standalone tracks (which may be one of the reasons we don't have an OST yet, just a wild guess though)

The reason you can find some of the tracks used in season 1 is because they were used in the mini-MMO "Wakfu : Les Gardiens" and were extrcted from the cache.

The Eliatropes settled on this planet about 10,000 years ago and proceeded to get wiped out/locked in various dimensions/etc. I don't remember where in official material this is stated but it's probably in the encyclopedia linked above.

As for the ten original gods, when they got there the planet was bare and Osamodas' dragons had to create life on it. Xelor's Clock was created then and is still used to this day to keep track of years, so we know it was roughly 900 years ago.

Another plausible option is that Ankama's lore contradicts itself, as is often the case. Tot probably hadn't even imagined the Eliatropes yet when the world's creation lore was written.

All of the Max Mini episodes are around 100 views a piece. In the grand scale they are already doing poor in sales. The DVDs are already up and a popular download and the rest of the series is TV and site rips. Do you really think you or anyone else is going to put the money forward for a box set or VOD episodes when they already have it? Of course not.

If you did happen to buy one or both congratulations, you are in the very small minority. Do you believe many people in /a/ buy their anime/manga or figurines before or after viewing it?

I'm incredibly thankful to the subbing team for doing a great job with the episodes. I followed every subbing thread on /coc/ for almost two years. I'm against releasing the VOD's. I even buy stuff (artbooks, DVDs) from Ankama and I subscribed to their game. But I can't fucking stand you.

personally i don't buy VOD of anything, tho i would probably buy a blu-ray.
i treat my physical copies as back-ups and want drm-restriction-free digital copies i can transfer from desktop to psp to thumbdrive to w/e and not a watch-online-anytime inconvenience that burns up my bandwidth with repeat viewings.
also the only time i pay-per-view is in a movie theater with a heug screen and theatrical sound system.
oh, and every movie i've downloaded and liked i've subsequently bought the blu-ray if available. just because i have a pirate 720 copy of something doesn't mean i wouldn't pay for 1080.

Well the thing that needs to be explained is that those views only count for those that have actually brought the VOD episodes. They do not count if you only open the page.
This is also limited to people actually watching it on the side but does not tell the exact number of episodes that have been brought. But you can probably assume at least 1 view equals 1 person who brought it + maybe some more for those that just downloaded them right away.
I also don't know if those that buy the VOD bundles are included into that number.

I'm not sure if Blu-Ray is justifiable for Ankama since I'm not sure what the average production cost of a Blu-Ray is and if Ankama can actually sell the amount needed to justify making them. No use for them to make lets say 100 000 Blu-Rays and then they only sell 10 000 of them. They would make a huge loose on that one then.
Thats one reason I would like to see the DVD sales figures vs how much they put into making them. In the end its really up in the air if there will ever be a Blu-Ray edition so it might as well just be your excuse to give yourself the right to pirate the VODs by saying you only buy it if the company offers it in the format you want it to be in. Also since you wrote you would "probably" buy a Blu-Ray it just sounds even more so that you won't bother buying it if you already can get your hands on the pirated VODs.
Also I hope you are aware that you can download the VODs. The DRM on it is an unlock the first time you play it from your PC you have to log into your Ankama account. After that you don't need any internet connection and can play it from your PC any time you want.

France 3 might be a public channel but if you go in to negotiate with them about maybe doing a 3rd season its always a plus to be able to show sales figures and go "hey, look at this. people are buying it".
Also I think your missing the big picture here. If the series actually sells and they can make a bit of money of it, it will only help them for future project with Wakfu like a new season or movies or specials. Just cause they get public funding by a TV channel doesn't gives you the excuse to just pirate the version of the episodes that Ankama might be able to actually make a little bit of money for themself. In the end if there is no money coming into Ankama and all they do is spend money that there will be no future projects.
The episodes are also only free to stream for the week after it aired and there is no LEGAL way of downloading those. 3rd party software workarounds to download the source file are not the same as the company actually offering you a low quality version of the actual thing. Just cause you can doesn't means you should or you have the right to do so.

In the end I will give the fuck you right back to you and how about you stop trying to justify people screwing Ankama over.
If they wanna do it fine. But stop trying to justify people being cunts and taking possible money that could be put into future projects from Ankama. Let them be aware of their shame that they can and probably will be the ones causing axing of future projects made by Ankama.

I stand by my opinion that it doesn't matter if someone downscales the VOD files and then puts them out. He or she is still taking source material that is available through pay only and puts it out for free.

B., you're a pretty cool guy and all and you do a lot for the wakfu community, but you need to stop acting like you have the final say in things. pirating went on before wakfu, it will keep going on, and yes inevitably someone is going to leak those vod episodes. the best you can do is make it clear that the sub team doesn't want anything to do with them.
