    >Nearly doubling its kids 6-11 audience vs. last year’s program, the second annual Cartoon Network Hall of Game Awards telecast (Monday, Feb. 20, 7-8:30p.m. ET/PT) out-paced last year’s targeted kids and boys delivery by considerable double digits, according to Nielsen Media Research. Hosted by basketball legend and TNT NBA analyst Shaquille O’Neal, the celebrity-studded sports award and entertainment event, taped Saturday, Feb. 18 in Los Angeles, charted dramatic year-over-year improvement among kids and boys ages 2-11, 6-11 and 9-14, ranging between 55% and 92%. Total viewership also grew by a remarkable 74% vs. last year’s program—2.6 million viewers ages 2+. Also worth noting, fans cast more than 100 million votes for their favorites at HallofGame.com, easily surpassing last year’s 37 million votes.

Shit, this did better than last year guys. We don't know if all the money spent on it justified the "just pretty good," ratings, but this definitely will encourage Stuart Snyder to gleefully greenlight a show for next year, furthering his plans to eventually get rid of those damned cartoons he hates so much. So he can one day Duplicate disney channel and somehow, miraculously become more successful than them by doing what they do, which they have a head start on by a few years.

Go for the gold, Snyder, your plan is TOTALLY sound.

To put it in simple terms, Fred the Show and Radio Rebel both beat this years HoG by an extra million views. So even CN's live action fails by comparison, though you can't ignore the ratings growth HoG had. Also Level Up hit a new low with its HoG after party episode, so CNReal as a whole isn't succeeding, just the films and HoG.

I'm very sure that not many people voted. I think CN is lying about the statsitics to appear all that money fo =r the award show didn't go to waste. No one really cares about the show and it's just a way to have their own Kids Choice awards and get out of that cartoon dedicated ideal they are know for so they can be like Disney Channel and nick. They don't get after all these years the can't really go that way because no one tunes in CN for that. So they can't have a cheap Hannah Montana or iCarly that gets a lot of viewers. Though they are more expensive, highest rated shows on CN are all cartoons. The would save a lot more money not trying to make sloppy live-action show and constantly advertising them which almost all have failed.
WHY CAN'T THEY GET THIS THOUGH THIER SKULLS?
    >> Anonymous 02/26/12(Sun)13:34 No.34613863

The reason why HoG had that many votes is because, like KCA, they allow kids to vote again and again, thus the big vote numbers.

    HoG
    Adventure Time
    Regular Show
    MAD
    Ninjago
    Gumball
    Clone Wars
    Ben 10
And the Flicks(Both Live Action and animated, especially if its Dreamworks which will probably be the reason the HTTYD series will really succeed.)
Everything else is either average(Level Up) or failing straight out(Generator Rex, SMFA, Problem Solverz). Don't be surprised the ones listed above will last long on the network.

It seems only teen pregnancies can kill those kinds of shows.

Does Snyder have dead bodies on both the boards he supposedly has to report to?

what...? Sorry, but I just need clarification.
Does your cousin watch the show (like out of boredom when nothing good is on TV and you watch whatever is on anyway) or does your cousin like the show?

Or is your cousin named watch?

    >People are actually watching Gumball along with CN's shitty live action programs
    ihavelostfaithinallhumanity.png

It's funny to see this compared to their late-night lineup with actually worthwhile shows like Tim and Eric and Cowboy Bebop. Too bad we've got stupid people running CN with the mindset that new shit is automatically good because it's new and LOLSORANDUM.

If Batman: TAS, Justice League, the Pokémon Kanto series or anything on Boomerang's lineup started airing on CN again, I'd tune in in a heartbeat.

I guess that's why CN is just picking up terrible shit off the internet, rather than funding another cartoon pilot thinktank. That, or they are once again trying to ride Nick's coattails after the success of Fred.

Remember when I said that CNReal as a whole isn't succeeding, just the films and HoG? The film side includes Scooby Doo: Curse of the Lake Monster, and that got 5 Million views and actually beat Nick and Disney in the ratings front. That's why CNReal is still a thing, even though none of them were or will ever be successful as Scooby Doo's live action run.

Funny you mention that, because it's rumored that CN is doing another one of those. But to save money, they're greenlighting shows based on how well the animatic goes, rather then funding a full pilot(unless the animatic goes well but needs further testing)

I thought that movie was mediocre at best...

Maybe people's taste have been so degraded by having to constantly eat shit, that shit resulting from something that was once good (broken down and digested with all the beneficial substances removed) tastes a little less like shit.

    Spike video game awards.
Its more about "FUCK YEAH CAWWADOODY" and trailers than appreciating games.
Mark hamill and tara strong were pissed that VA nominees weren't mentioned and the winner wasn't televised.

Its really only good for new trailers.

What truly makes me mad about the success of Disney's live action and CNReal is just the fact that it shows kids don't have imagination anymore, or their parents won't let them. Everything has to be based in the real world, because that's the best they'll ever get, and they'll never understand why it's okay to just laugh at a talking bird and racoon.

And what the hell is up with action shows failing? I thought, if anything, this generation of boys who will be emasculated to all hell would WANT something awesome and manly in their lives.

Actually I heard chuckles in the crowd during the Orange bit, but they laughed more at Mordecai and Rigby's bits, even if their HoG bits were corny as hell.

they're too afraid that liking manly things will make them homos.

Also, shows like Adventure Time and Regular Show were considered big risks by the executives despite doing so well.
You'd think that would be proof enough for them that taking chances on cartoons pays off better than playing it safe with some cheaply made live action garbage that gets cancelled in 1 or 2 seasons at best.

When the fuck are they going to air this where I live?
