>>33859238 >>33859364 >>33859419 >>33859473 Let me clarify the PSG ownership rights situation for all of you. PSG
was created by two groups/studios: GAINAX and GEEKS, a subgroup of
GAINAX STUDIO, conformed by Imaishi and other animators and story
boarders. A little shortly after PSG finished airing, Imaishi and the
other animators (basically, all the members of GEEKS) left GAINAX
(http://www.pelleas.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=747) to create
their own studio: TRIGGER. Both, GAINAX and GEEKS (Now called TRIGGER) have rights of PSG, but mostly TRIGGER. Now,
for a S2 to happen, either GAINAX have a collaboration with TRIGGER,
which is not unheard of, since GAINAX had many collaborations with other
studios several times in the past, OR, GAINAX gives away it's rights to
PSG and gives them to TRIGGER, so they can make the S2 by themselves. The
problem: Whichever situation happens, is probably not going to be soon.
TRIGGER is a fairly new studio, they're just starting, and so far, the
only work they had made is an episode of THE IDOLM@STER. Before TRIGGER
can go and make their own original woks and projects, they have to do
small stuff, like OVAs, single episodes of series, etc... Until TRIGGER
gathers experiences, single works, etc, they probably won't start to
sort things out with GAINAX regarding PSG situation. Because of this,
PSG S2 is unlikely to happen soon. And even then, the "TO BE CONTINUED
ON S2" may had only be a joke from GAINAX AND GEEKS, and the series
indeed had ended. |
