the timing was fucked up, the way he screwed with them seemed contrived, applejack was out of character, the whole thing with him forcing fluttershy was just weird, Discords characterization wasn't consistant, one minute he's a jokester who doesn't take anything seriously, the next he rages just because one of them doesn't INSTANTLY fall for his shit.

I can't wait for the continuation. I'll admit I had my doubts about S2 but they're gone now. That episode was fucking gold.

Okay, new episode wasn't what I was expecting at all, but it was still pretty good. It started off kinda cheesey and the scenes with Celestia seemed a bit forced, but Discord's trolling made up for it. I laughed plenty of times, and so far they've done a good job of making Discord an actual threat while keeping him funny and not some sort of super grimdark villain. So far, I'm optimistic about the rest of the season and am looking forward to the next episode.
