Imagine
a young kid, hanging around the city of NewYork for the majority of the
time. He's not really out to hurt anyone, he's just living his life,
enjoying friends, and attending school. Occasionally, someone gets hurt
or has trouble with something. Often times, he'll be there to help. He
doesn't always do the best of jobs, but everything he does comes from
the heart. Sometimes his deeds will help someone get home safely, and
other times the actions taken will diffuse a tense situation. However,
no matter what the kid does, everyone will look at him out of the corner
of their eye, just in case. He could be walking, helping citizens along
the way and people will still be wary of him due to misconceptions and
preconceived notions of what and who he is.
This is an African
American youth, doing the right thing; yet it's still a task straight
out of Tartarus to merely be accepted by society. This is Spider-man,
living his life and doing the best he can with the hatred he receives
from society.
Makes sense to me, bro.
