Welp, I had come home from work at 10 pm and I recorded Grow Up Timmy Turner on my DVR. Just finished watching it and, feel sort of bad man. Not the movie itself, it felt like Fairly Odd Parents to me, but it was the whole concept of growing up that made me feel like this. It's like they're telling the people who watched this over the years to just grow up already. Also, thoughts on the movie?
    >> Anonymous 07/10/11(Sun)00:38 No.27562703
    The ending was terrible.

    Otherwise, good movie.

Poof's voice made me want to punch a hole in a wall.

Why didn't Timmy lose his fairies the moment he told AJ and Chester about them?
    >> Anonymous 07/10/11(Sun)00:45 No.27562925
Timmy admits his love for Tooty, which official signifies Growing Up (according to Da Rules). This means he should definitely lose his fairies. But Jorgan and the Fairy Council decide to make a clause in Da Rules "The Timmy Turner Loophole" which says he can keep them if he promises to use magic only to help others. He is also (for some bullshit reason) able to show his fairies to Tooty, Chester, and A.J. without losing them. He gets to keep his fairies, his memory, and has a hot new girlfriend.

No lessons about growing up were learned.

It was a glorious train wreck that I couldn't take my eyes off for a minute.. that is, until the Social Network began to play on Starz. Watching some of the voice actors in the series play their characters in live action was actually entertaining, but everything else was just mind-numbingly dumb. That bugged me too. Vicky and Tootie should have had more interaction. I was expecting a scene where Vicky at least mellows out to her and Timmy after learning they are together, or at least a comment on her new looks.

In fact, thats another one, a lot of the griping was about Tootie becoming suddenly hot, but they didn't really play it off like that was the reason Timmy wanted her. Not even a "wow, puberty was generous to her" type joke.

Because he saved his fairy god parents by giving them up. Just like he did once before. Also if Timmy does lose his fairies, his wishes go null and void, that means no Poof.

Nope, but lets not bring that up because some people seem to think all the movie's criticism is coming from Trixie fans. Which is a bullshit scapegoat.

While I do think the whole "Timmy Turner Loophole" was bullshit, I am glad that they at least acknowledged how many times he's saved fairies/Fairy World from complete destruction.

You'd think being that live for thousands of years and can basically bend reality wouldn't have to rely on a ten year old to save them all the time.

They wouldn't need to be saved all the time if Timmy wasn't so irresponsible and retarded.

I enjoyed the movie mostly but I agree, the last few minutes were fucking horrible. Even though I like Timmy/Tootie also, it didn't really feel genuine them being together at the end since it was so rushed.

Hartman can't write worth shit and I warned you all this. Especially not romance.

How funny would it have been if they cast Josh as Francis. There could be a scene where Josh is just fucking pummeling Drake and giving him wedgies and shit. That would have been so hilarious.
