Sometimes /cgl/ has people who make genuinely nice costumes.

However, 99% of the time they're ripping apart other people's costumes. Post a pretty girl in a nice outift? Most of the thread will be complaining about how big her nose is or how her chin juts out a bit too much or something else stupid. Does a part of your costume have an extra zipper or buckle, or is it a shade off-color? It's inaccurate and looks like shit.

But you know who's worse than the cosplayers? The lolitas. They're worse in every way. They're not only bitchy, they're extremely clique-y and judgemental. They have these arbitrary, unknown guidelines that if your dress isn't sewn perfectly or the colors don't match well enough, or your accessory is too tacky (ALL LOLITA CLOTHING IS TACKY FFS), you're labeled as an "ita" and shunned from their little sekrit club.

It's terrible.

There's a lot of bitchy younger girls on /cgl/, and although I like seeing what new lows PT has stooped to this week, honestly, my cosplay work has improved unbelievably since I started going there.
There are tutorial threads every other day, progress threads constantly where people are legitimately helpful and, of course, just lots of pretty pictures.

Don't think too poorly of /cgl/, /co/. I like both boards, but honestly, /cgl/ is my favorite of all the boards I frequent just because of how much it's helped me.
Cool place if you hide all the drama threads.
