You must be psychic, I was feeling like reading some Punisher tonight.

God, I love this story. It is and I think always will be my favorite Punisher story. I know people have their say about Ennis, and as much as I think most Punisher fans idolize him too much to give other writers a shot, you have to admit that he knew the character inside and out.

I didn't like Born all that much until I got some earfuls of other people's interpretations and it meshes much better for me now. I don't think I've read The End because I heard bad things about it. I can't remember the details now, though.

Actually, I just reread Born and it isn't as bad as I remembered. My big problems were: Frank killing the General he doesn't like and his "deal" with Death to always have a war to fight but the latter can be taken as less-than-literal, so it isn't that bad.

The End though...holy fuck, that might be the most...ugh. I just hate it, so much.

Oh, yes, 'death' is pretty up for interpretation, and I almost forgot about the General. I just remembered the one officer he almost killed. I forgot he went through with it before. I remember that shocking me since Frank usually has more code to what he does than that. Though, I'd accept that it was Vietnam so his head wasn't in the right place at all, but still, the point stands.

The plot of the End is as follows:
It is revealed that the War on Terror, and actually all wars after WW2, are created by giant multinational weapons companies to profit by selling weapons, so, for example, the war in Afghanistan is about selling M-16s.
