you more than likely do not have OCD. OCD does not mean you're a neat freak who needs to have everything organized in some way. In actuality, if you had bad OCD the store might be a mess because you spend all of your time touching the walls of the store with your elbows in a certain pattern because that's the only thing that lets you stop thinking about yourself as a corpse.

Catering to "/co/mrades" would mean focusing entirely upon maybe 4 or 5 people to visit the store and maintain it, apparently without any real reliable source of income due to the renting idea.

Food and hookers would not pay for themselves, and you wouldn't have the money necessary to keep a constant supply while not really providing any service that would bring it in.

Op here, thanks for the suggestions with this.

Someday I might open a comic book shop like this, but for now I'm going to save up money and continue to increase my knowledge of comics in order to be more useful for helping people find the perfect comic for themselves.

I'd like for the idea of comic rentals to work, but in reality people can just go to the library for that. I will, however, server Burritos, because I happen to know how to make them myself.

LAN can be supported cheaply by buying the business one. People will have to buy a comic to be able to use it, and I will also use the internet from the shop as my own, and have none at my house. It'll save cash that way.

I'd probably to have to come into the possession of a large amount of money sometime soon to get this going, but for now that just gives me more time to learn.

    My LCS is fucking awesome.

It's small, so if you go later in the day there will probably be a table set up so people can play Heroclix/D&D/Random TCG, but they're generally nice and don't mind you checking out the game they're playing.

I'm pretty sure only three guys work there full time, but this one guy who's probably the owner is there everytime I go in. One is pretty quiet and keeps to himself, but the owner is fucking awesome. I'm just getting into comics, so he didn't mind letting me know which I should stay away from, what stuff I should read to catch up on a few characters, what stuff is good for newbies, etc.

And he's always giving freebies away to regulars, which I guess means going in three or four times and being a bro, because that's all I've done. I walked in last night to grab Xenogenesis after I got my paycheck, and he surprised me with American Vampire #1 he had been holding for me after I mentioned it in passing once.

    Such an awesome guy.
