Would you read a comic with boring uninteresting characters who have no interesting interior lives?

Think Leopold Bloom from Ulysses, only without an interesting interior monologue.

I would. Only because I'm incapable of enjoying anything and I like the post-modern value though.
    >> Skip 04/27/10(Tue)22:08 No.16337099
I've read at least one book in every tier but Mid.

Anyway I haven't read Ulysses because I've heard it's a slog, but maybe American Splendor fits what you want?

A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man has to be the most overrated book in existence. Dubliners is great, Ulysses is pure genius, but Portrait consistently makes these lists (I guess because it's the 'accessible' Ulysses) and it's really quite a mediocre book for all that it has the odd great passage.

there was a running gag in the old canadian sitcom Radio Active, where the character George was obsessed with a comic exactly like the OP describes: the adventures of Normal Man, who drove around in is beige 4-door sedan doing nothing at all. I don't think it quite counts as he still managed to defeat supervillains through his non-action.

    image slightly related.
