Gurren Lagann was horrid. Fun for maybe 5 episodes then takes a noise dive into taking itself too seriously.

Its best character? That Kamina guy? He's actually a pussy and dies like a bitch due to "exhaustion", so in that part I guess he isn't the best character because of said death like a bitch.

Simon? His life is utterly ruined by Kamina to the point of severe mental breakdown at age fucking 10 or something. Everyone wants him to same the fucking world yet won't help the kid do so until Magical Fridge Girl appears to save the day. Its just damn silly.

He died due to injuries received from the fight but was able to fight through the pain and killed one of Lord Genomes four General's. Yeah that's a real pussy.
