Why is /co/ only about American comics? I'm no troll, but I'm from Europe and I started reading American comics (DC and Marvel) about three years ago. With the help of /co/, rapidshare, torrents and DC++ I downloaded everything, and from those terabytes of comics I can only name 10-25 titles that I liked and most of them are One Shots, Elseworlds and such. Every goddamn superhero comic is exactly the same: beat em up, huge muscles and tits, and some "take over the world" story. Pencils are mediocre, colorists hide the shitty art using Photoshop, and I hate those sound effects that are all over the screen in some ComicSans font!

I also noticed that most of European comics that've been published in the States are scaled down in size! Beautiful A4 art in hardcover gets printed in half size in softcover (Bouncer by Boucq, Metabarons by Gimenez).

American publishers commercialized comic book industry. So...

Here is what you will download next:

Blueberry by Jean Moeb Giraud and Charlier
    Jeremiah by Hermann
    Metabarons by Gimenez and Jodorowsky
    Torpedo by Bernet
Indian Summer by Milo Manara and Hugo Pratt
    Corto Maltease by Hugo Pratt
    Incal by Moebius
    XIII by Wance and Hamme
    Idees Noir by Franquin

    Lucky Luke
    Asterix
    Tin Tin
    Umpah Pah
    Iznogud
    Spirou and Fantasio

I could go on forever, but start with this.

short answer: American publishing companies don't reprint them here so we don't know they exist.

Somebody posted something the other day that I wanted to check out but I forgot the name because I was annihilated. It was like something Dog. It was macabre ghost story shit inspired by horror writers or something to that effect.

I have Bouncer by Boucq in A4 TPB hardcover with extras, and designer diaries. Bouncer was published only till issue 5, after which came 2 issues more but the publisher never printed them. I went to Plato book store, asking them French or American version of this, the salesgirl gave me first issue of Bouncer in half the A4 size, I think even smaller then regular American comics. I just went mute for half an hour.

I will post its art just in a moment.

Also, download Wisher, The Long Tomorrow (Blade Runner was inspired by this) and I'll think of something else.

Pic: Torpedo by Bernet, he did Solo for DC. This title is about 1930's local thug who kills and fuck everything that walks. Reminds of Clint Eastwood but sinister version of him.
