Hello /cm/sters and /cm/stresses, as you may know we have a Rec list for BL mangas, and you may also know it is kinda outdated.

The plan is to make an updated version with the help of you.

You and others decide what stays, what goes and what gets added. Every opinion counts(within reason).

Also the looks of the list:
Should we keep the authors and titles to optimize space and be able to fit more titles on the list?
    or
Would a more visual take be more appealing, allowing for the covers and title under cover of each manga to be put on the list(possibly including authors name if space allows to do so) as well as a tints over the covers to signify the status of the manga
-red tint for incomplete and dropped
    -yellow for ongoing
    -no tint for complete
but at the cost of less manga titles being put on the list

It would be very helpful to include your opinion and titles you see on the old list and what you have in mind for the new list.

I hope to have enough info and a list (mostly) agreed upon in about two weeks.

It would be nice if we could see the names of the publishing companies, since that would make them easier to find at the bookstore. Maybe grouping them by similar themes might be a nice way to go, but don't ask me how to work that...

Also, I can vouch for pretty much everything by Basso/Ono Natsume. Nigeru Otoko is a good one that's not on the list, though it's only really tangentially BL.

    >>2681249
As much as I would love that, I wouldn't be able to fit that, but I can always include a link to where to read mangas(mangafox, animea or mangareader(which most "read online manga sites" include summary)), and where to download it(mangatraders), Just like the last list did.

I know the story well, and I think it just has to be put in there.

Once again, as much as I would like to include all the info, there would just not be enough room.

That I can do, if I know them all, but thats why I posted a thread so people can help put things in order.

    >Also, I can vouch for pretty much everything by Basso/Ono Natsume. Nigeru Otoko is a good one that's not on the list, though it's only really tangentially BL.
As long as American companies don't own the rights to it(such as ViZ's SuBLime) I will look into it(and so will others, right?).

Bukiyou na Silent by Takanaga Hinako. He's on the baseball team!

And I know this may seem big for a board like us but instead of a recommendation image, why not something like /v/'s recommended games wiki? That way people can change statuses of ongoing, complete etc. and there'd be space for summaries and images and extra info on BL.

That way you can also make it a communal effort!

Again I don't know how appropriate it would be over an image and you could always go to mangaupdates for summaries and covers and all, but it's an idea.

    >why not something like /v/'s recommended games wiki?
Since the board is so small, I feel the wiki would be unused, and with summaries and status it would feel like mangaupdates(like you said)

the users here want a list of referred and recommended BL manga's

Really all we need is some titles, and the people here are pretty smart to go through the list and google the summary and if they like it they read it.
and with a cover of the manga will give people the opportunity to look at the art style(literally judging a book by it's cover)

If other people like your idea, then someone should start up the wikia idea.

because licensing laws are very very convoluted and the japs are very tightfisted with giving licenses. and different medium have different rules - online, print... and print copies have a very limited run.

solution: if you plan to be a yaoitard for years to come, the best way to support the author is to learn japanese and import titles via kinokuniya, amazon, bk1 or yesasia. provided your country doesn't confiscate it at the customs. derp.

    >why not something like /v/'s recommended games wiki?
I don't think it'd be a bad idea to make a /cm/ centric page on the /a/ recommendation wiki. A couple of our charts are already on there. Someone might have to message whoever's in charge of the site first, though.

    >-red tint for incomplete and dropped
    >-yellow for ongoing
    >-no tint for complete
I think that's kind of unnecessary. Especially since we don't know how often the list will be updated or looked over. I don't even think the chart in the OP post is over two years old yet. There could be a tinted frame around the pictures for titles that have english translations or ones that are not translated, would that be better?

Having a cover picture or panels of the manga is a really good idea though, and it'd also be a nice touch if there's a "last updated on ____" somewhere on the page. I also like how on the /a/ manga recommendation pages they list a couple words under each manga that describe them a little.

I liked that too, that's a great idea.

    >it'd also be a nice touch if there's a "last updated on ____"
but wouldn't it be pointless if the list is never updated(as you said)?

I'm going to be Frank, anytime a manga gets completed or dropped, I have 99.9% confidence rate that a /cm/ster(ess) or myself will update the list(if we do go with a list instead of a wiki, that is) as I will include a .psd file when it is finished so anyone can update.

This wikia is sounding better and better, but I am having doubts about it as:
    1. The board is small
    2. This list is a quick fix for when people are looking for a BL read and someone can just upload the image.
    3. I have been with /a/ for quite awhile and this is the first I have heard about a Rec wiki, will others on this board know about our /cm/ section?

Seems it's still active, there's also another Wiki called "The Recommendation Wiki" that's similar with more variety of pages (books, visual novels, anime, videogames ect) but it's a bit of a mess. Out of all the board wikis (/a/, /v/, /lit/) I think /v/ is the most updated and has the best layout.

    >I thought we were only going to use English scanlations
    I'm okay with that.

I wouldn't mind if /cm/ had a Wiki, but I don't think we have enough content. Plus doing all the page layouts and stuff could take a while. One /cm/-centric page on the /a/ wiki would be good for listing manga titles.

The /a/ wiki is clean, but I don't think they would appreciate us adding a rec list page.
As for the rec wiki, it's crap look and future plans to switch to but seems more appropriate to have a /cm/ section.

    >but I don't think we have enough content.
Thats why I think the wiki might overall be a waste of effort.

I'm all for telling others about what /cm/'s favorite BL's are but I don't think a wiki is a way to go.

For the mean time let's keep a list going while we keep a wiki rec page in mind.

    Original chart maker here!

I made this chart sort of out of an olllldd /cm/ BL manga recommendation thread, and at the time I was planning on including covers and listing genres after each title, but this proved to be a little too tedious and time consuming for me, so I ended up with a sort of shoddy one that basically accomplished what it needed to, which was a BL recommendation list image.

But it's always nice to see it circulating around because most of these titles still stand true. There might be a few I'd get rid of, but that might only be hindsight/personal preference.

This list also suffers from personal bias, so you might also notice I didn't include things that were already popular or I didn't like very much. See: shungiku nakamura, yamane ayano, takanaga hinako (bukiyou no silent is okay, but tyrant is not my favourite...).

    So, things we could have:
    Manga cover images
    Genre
    rating(pg, R, etc)

And yeah, I think sticking to what is available in english is best. You could always create a separate list for those that remain untranslated, or tack it on there at the end, or simply include them but put a note beside them?

But honestly since the time of making this, scanlations have been very dead, so there shouldn't be too many more titles to add, even if it feels "old". I know there are many new titles out, but they haven't been translated at all. It's really depressing. Even most of the stuff DMP is releasing right now has already been scanlated/is popular in english already/ is simply something sparkly they think would sell well.

Include what you think we should get rid of, and let the others decide on it.

    >scanlations have been very dead,
I guess you can say that, but there have been a few over the BL scanlation drought that have been a magic to read.
And hopefully with SuBLime rolling in ViZ can do some good for the BL community.

bumpan and will start working on the list tomorrow(tonight I will go through all the mangas to get the genres, cover page and age rating) and also choosing one manga from an artist on the list to cut down.

If you see an artist with multiple mangas(on the list), tell which one you would like to keep. I will try to fit about 60 with title, cover, artist name, genre, age rating.

If you have any other rec's, just post it, with what genre it is and summary if you have the time(Looking for more angst/drama to balance out the comedy, but if it's a good comedy BL then post it, you can never have too many).

    Will be adding:

If you've read scanlations and can't find an english copy you might as well just buy the raws, I've done that a couple times too.

The first German volume of Seven Days is only around $15 on Abebooks, I didn't even see a copy of the english version on there. Tokyopop's still kicking in Germany so I guess they still have a decent number of copies left.

i personally don't like that idea of "a few pages of smex scenes is pushing it but fine" or keeping it within the /cm/... a BL chart with yaoi (explicit) and shounen-ai (non-explicit) titles mixed together would be better for folks to find new authors. what you're doing goes against the OP chart and makes it an entirely new beast. maybe you wanna split it into two different charts:

    - yaoi (that can branch into hard yaoi or just normal ones...)

I have yet to see a manga with any dicks in it that was on the chart, the sex scenes without any gentiles are fine(even a whited out one is fine) but I haven't seen any full on hard yaoi and I'm the last 6 for the list before adding in the others.

a manga can be hard yaoi even with whited out dicks... if you want a /cm/ only list, it mustn't have most of the OP titles - no sex scenes what so ever - like Seven Days or Aitsu no Daihonmei.

crossed out the ones i do remember as having some kind of non-/cm/ scene.

I guess you meant hard yaoi that contained more...full on scenarios? Say bondage etc.?

As for just "yaoi", heaps on that chart. Everything by Neokta Yonezou for example.

    We always include yaoi titles.

I think we can sort it to three categories, shounen-ai, yaoi and hard yaoi, where hard yaoi would contain more trigger-some content.

All right, just making sure. I didn't want to throw in a title suggestion like Coppernicus or Vibrator Company and make some poor anon's eyes bleed.

On the other hand, the old list already has all the other BL titles I've suggested before, so I guess I'm all out! Unless Patalliro and From Eroica With Love are considered BL, though I think they fall more under the comedy category before it.

Wow, I guess it comes down to different taste but I totally disagree with some of those choices.
IMO Fujiyama Hyouta's best work is Junjou, Yamada Yugi's best is Yume wo Miru Hima Mo Nai (ok actually I like all her works equally), Suzuki Tsuta's is Boku no Shiru Anata no Hanashi, Yoshinaga Fumi's is Gerard et Jacques, Nakamura Asumiko's is J no Subete, and Yamashita Tomoko's is Kuimonodokoro Akira
Also, why aren't there any Nishida Higashi works there? Kage Aru Tokoro Ni and Tenshi no Uta are superb BL mangas.
    >> Anonymous 11/21/11(Mon)00:32 No.2686608
ya know. I don't really want a shiny list that looks like the other boards' charts. Just more titles and mangaka. Picking one title per author - some people like certain titles but violently hate other stuff by someone. Then there are the stories with a different artist and a different author. I'm for just an edit of op's list. Up to reader to look it up on google...

Original chart maker here again, here i go:

    >>2686528
Honestly Honto Yajuu is my favourite. I actually dislike Ano Hi altogether (it's too melodramatic for me and I don't really like any of the characters). For Chun Chun i can't get it out of my head that it's not some sort of Oofuri doujin.

    >>2686541
This chart should be a mix of both shounen ai and yaoi. That's what the rating system is for. If people want to avoid sex, it can state clearly what has it and what doesn't. (Which is what I suggested before...)

    >>2686589
Oh man, when I first opened this list without reading the comment I interpreted as "GET RID OF THESE" and I was like OHSHITWH-... But yeah, a lot of these titles do have sex in them. It would be ridiculous not to include them.

    - Agreeing with adding Nishida Higashi's works.
    - Hideyoshiko's too.
    - Heard Ogura Muku's Castle mango was really good but i haven't gotten around to reading it yet.
    - Also not sure if Lies Are a Gentleman's Manners - Marta Matsuo has been suggested but it should be on there.
    - Also Takarai Rihito - Hana no Mizo Shiru...
    - Stuff by Minazuki Akira.
    - Yuma Satoru - Count 0.
    - Also Kusama Sakae is listed already but I'm not sure if those are her best works. Better suggestions anyone?
    - NightS by Yoneda Kou instead of Don't Stay Gold (If it were up to me I would list everything by her, but yeah)
    - Maybe Boku no shiru.. or Merry Checker by Suzuki Tsuta instead of Hand Which.
    - Works by Junko, Aniya Yuiji.

Also suggestion: post the list of titles here on /cm/ before you go out and make the chart. Then we can finalize, together what should and shouldn't be on the list.

    >>2686606
    >why aren't there any Nishida Higashi works there?
choose the best and I'll add it.

The most important part is new authors/artist, more authors on the list which will have the list viewers searching their other work. So more artist/authors> more titles.

    >>2686608
People actually choose a book by it's cover, so if we include a cover that catches an anon's eye, then we sunk them into reading it.

I will agree that list was much better for adding a fuckton of mangas, but people don't want to go through a list to copy paste into google and look at the manga description to get a genre they weren't looking for, with an art style they don't like.

It comes down to a quality vs quantity sort of approach.

    >>2686609

Welp I was busy with other projects and too lazy to sift through my downloads/BL mishmash folder.

Mangaka on the old list who I do not have the burning need to include (if you wanted to add some that i just suggested):

    >Love Mode - Shimizu Yuki

    >Non Tea Room - Shoowa

I think I like Sakende Yaruze a little bit better...

    >Bukiyou na Silent - Takanaga Hinako

    >Ano Hi no Kimi wo Dakishimeta nara - Yamamoto Kotetsuko
    Honto Yajuu.

    >Otona Keikenchi - Younezou Nekota

You did not include Yoneda Kou and I find this blasphemous.

Nishida Higashi - Kagearu Tokoro ni, Love Life, or Tenshi no Uta (couldn't choose...)

You don't seem to understand how the fujoshi work on LJ and forums... Miab is one of the cooler, quality scanlation groups that accept new journals. Unlike some group that routinely delete members who're not active, people who piss them off, then throw a bitchfit and close/delete their journals if things get spread or if another group steals their projects, don't let new journals join... if you don't want to jump through the hoops, just ignore the title and put down ikemenkun.

But realise you're dealing with (fujoshi) women. They like to close things, keep it exclusive, hoard, are suspicious, paranoid and can get down right malicious and nasty - most forums and groups track your IP lol. Be careful.

For Aniya Yuiji I really, really like Comedy Evolves by Love. Me o Tojite 3-Byou seems great too but because it's not completely translated I feel like I can't judge it yet.

I love Matsumoto Miecohouse's art but only a couple of chapters of one of her manga have been scanlated, too bad because I liked it a lot!

Not sure if accurate analogy, but you'd miss out on a lot without one.

I keep that empty journal handy to follow scanlation groups.

Some of them are a bit finicky with membership, but a fair few (e.g. Moon in a Box) are pretty cool.

Was this rec image from that thread I vaguely remember that began by complaining about yaoi stereotypes (rape, "drama" etc) and went on to become a huge recommendation thread for (at the time) relatively unknown series that weren't the usual cliche?

Might've missed them but, Shimaji (Neko no Koi) is a solid rec. Akiba Touko (Zantei Koibito, Sono Koi ni wa Wake ga Aru) is a personal favourite of mine with her cute stories. Songs of Self Abuse is a must.

I'm amused that you are opposed to joining LJ. It's literally the best source for english BL manga scanlations. And I also agree MIAB is the best scanlator going right now.

    >Arashi no Ato sounds very interesting, do you have to read Signal(the apparent prequel to read?)
No you don't, I don't even think Signal is relevant at all.

Also the Yoneda Kou title on the list should be Doushitemo Furetakunai. You pretty much need to go read this (and everything else by her) right now.

And I've read Songs of Self Abuse, and it was certainly memorable (more than I can say for 90% of BL) but definitely not for everybody... If you include if you might want to put warnings on it.

    >I'm amused that you are opposed to joining LJ.
I don't want to get into that type of community, I don't like the people it's filled with(no offense to the livejournalfags out there).
Anything that involves having to comment and talk with others about the manga is ridiculous, I'm not a housewife who attends book clubs or a teenager that tries to to assimilate the BL we read to real life relationships. I just want to read the manga.

    (Crazy talk)
    {Here it's great, I could be calling your opinions on a certain subject stupid and call you a faggot, and then another thread, I could be having a same talk with you for weeks and agree with you and call you a pretty cool guy(gal), and no one would know, hell we could be the only two on here and I have 7 different names and be arguing with myself just so you wouldn't think so. Right now this thread could of been only me talking to myself and I'm replying to myself. For the past 2 weeks}

The point is, I don't have to talk to people or contribute to get images or recs for manga, everyone puts in whatever they want to without any form of compensation(unless you want more pictures).
And it's been working out fine since this fine board has been established.

I do commend yaoihaven.wetpaint.com (18+) for their ability to sign up or not, I could comment, or not and still get to read and look at what I want without it being a "secret club",

well most yaoi translators are 30 to 50 year old housewives with college age kids who go 'kyaaaa!? Kawaii!! watashi was doing the dishes for the family dinner desu *_*.' a few months ago, the owner of attractive fascinate - actually went around asking commenters what AF work they liked. When people said they had saved it in their HD, she was like 'you must have time for bl if you wanna be in dis club. How come you don't spend 20 minutes in 2 months to read BL? No cake for you!!'. I've been denied entries to groups because I wasn't active enough. And i've seen people kicked out because they expressed some contrary opinion. Can't name too many names but a closed group is as good as a dead group. if you think LJ is bad, I suggest you never go to twitter or tumblr - that's where the official english licensing hambeasts or the 'I only buy and read japjap books' gather to talk about their gay cartoon cp while bashing rape and being edgy lesbians. Not to mention the snitches who inform publishers of scanlations. Being a fujoshit is suffering when you just wanna read the damn thing and look for new titles. some golden eggs but you gotta wade through all the shit to get it. Few years ago, this was a quiet hobby but it's filled with so many 14 year olds and 40 year olds trying to relive their youth. I bet some tumblebeast is gonna get her panties in a bunch about 'teh mean ppl on 4chan Omg' and make a long blog post. Lol. If you ask me, learn japanese. So many good titles are now being licensed 'for digital only' releases - will not leak out and no one will translate. just go look at managupdates' DMGuild page. all dem kawaii titles. Neko no koi is a popular title that many people like. Can't exclude it just because you found it meh. Songs of self abuse - maybe too realistic. not for newfriends.

Yes, they're watching. There are a lot of tumblr and LJ fags who will report /cm/ and /y/'s goings on to their 'people'. Then the LJs will go on an internal hunt to see who released them or close their group. Though this is usually done if they see releases on mangaups or manga dumps/links here.

Snitches - people who email the publishers or @tweet them when they see a translation.

Corporations - eh. eagerly waiting for them to die. though no one will pick up any of their titles even if they do.

Learning 3 sets of alphabet - agreed. complete waste of time in most cases. Unless you like the stories and stuff, no point.

Nah I thought it had something to do with those mangasharing sites, like mangatraders and stuff.

Thing is closing everything off like AF did just encourages sharing on other sites so it's kinda dumb.

You really can't prevent sharing though. I prefer those policies where they make you keep the credits page or wait a few days before posting them up.

Or keep their groups open so I can link my friends to them without having them make an LJ.

At one point, fantasy shrine was circulating different versions of a tank so they'd know who uploaded it to MT. some groups went to IRC just to make it harder for folks to take.

some close or make entry hard because attention whores and elitistfags. And you need to suck up to their rants if you wanna stay in or be in their highness' good favour.

most closed because they got C&Ds from publishers - 2010 was when the 11s caught on to illegally distributing their property. Some go to jail for uploading manga vols. If you read ANN once in a while. I didn't mind AF Closing. Did mind forgotten gem box.

lol koi no chime! Now go read all the tojitsuki hajime oneshots you can find. Especially the one with that french title with 'science' or sth in its name. Oneshots fit my gnat like attention span and make me happily float on air the whole day. When i'm not being a bitter faggot (geoffmylawn.jpg).

If you DO decide to join LJ, make sure you are not a member of ci_yaoi. it's a group that takes unshareable works and shares them - mostly just old AF titles. some groups asked them to take down their titles but they refused. So bad blood.

    Abe Miyuki - Super Lovers
    Junko - Konbini-kun
Takarai Rihito - Hana no Mizo Shiru
Moto Haruko - Nichijousahan Bi, Please Wait, Hug Kiss Shake Hands
Yumeka Sumomo / Sahara Mizu - Same Cell Organism, The Day I become a Butterfly, Heart Parts, So Love Begins
Furutsuji Kikka - Hachiue no Juunin
Okuyama Puku - Tomorrow is a Dog's Day
Asou Kai - Sorenari ni Shinken nandesu
Sunae Hata - Cat's Eye Horoscope (Maybe, still needs more releases)
    Hirama Mitsunaga - Relativity Eudaemonics
Yamanaka Hiko - Prince and Small Bird
Aniya Yuiji - Close Your Eyelids for 3 Seconds
Honma Akira - Usagi Otoko Tora Otoko

And here are some that were also in the threads that I haven't read yet:
    Girou no Koimizu
    Jigoku Meguri
    Kuchuu Teien
    Natural Doggy's Diary
    Oujisama wa Inai
    Portrait In Blue
    Mr. Morning
    Negative-kun to Positive-kun
    Cello Mellow
    Fujunna Renai
    Furueru Yoru no Himitsugoto
    Gin no Kajitsu

Also, read something about not wanting to add manga that had genitals. What was the final verdict on that?
Oh and, guys, can we add Sex Pistols? Or is it one big nope?

For the background for the list are we doing:
    A) Traditional, Simple Fill Color(either Black or the blue for SFW board)
    B) You have a background in mind(be sure it has exact or close to size of 1800px x 3400px*)
If you want a picture to be tinted to fit, like the original
C)You're a digital drawfag that wants to draw a nice background(abstract art, or something else /cm/ will like)**

*Estimated not certain yet, depending on if /cm/ wants a summary with every manga or not.
**You can e-mail me the .psd file(or whatever file) as well as post on here for others to see.

lol we have manga anons who just want to share a nice story from time to time (lurkmoar kindly). It's not about sticking it to anyone. If anything, MIAB has the "join" thing as a legal precaution to stop underageb& from taking stuff (though everyone lies on the internet) and to remove their files when the thing gets licensed in english so it will be someone else's head if the files are found running around various places.

Okay for the people who want Macchi Uri instead of Nikushokujuu, I NEED A SUMMARY(and if you can find a place or download for me to read that would be great)

I also need a Summary for Complex(by Manda Ringo), all the summaries I read were utter crap.

Also need a Summary for Usotsuki wa Shinshi no Hajimari, as the summary also sounds bad, and you have to be in MiaB

(should we even include in the list?)

    tl;dr
    I NEED SUMMARIES FOR:
    Macchi Uri
    Complex
    Usotsuki wa Shinshi no Hajimari

    >>2688520
    working well actually
    (is that abe and mishashi?)

    >>2688558
still working on updated list, keep getting distracted by /a/ 37/54 completed(as of now)

macchi uri... It's a libre shuppan title - I know you're too edgy and good for BL scanlation groups and the fujonazi's on LJ or elsewhere but they are the company that sort of shut down most scanlation groups and made people go into hiding - you need to go deep into LJ to get it - most newfags who look at this chart aren't gonna be able to do that. learn either of the two flavors of ching chong - jap or chn to read it.
    >> Anonymous 11/25/11(Fri)22:37 No.2688586
    >>2688584
Someone should just sneak into all these groups, download the titles on the chart and post them in /rs/

lets not include it then and stick with Nikushokujuu no Table Manner then. This is for the new to BL, and the people looking for a quick find on BL without the hassle of joining a group, or learning Australian to read it.

That'd simply stop all future releases. You don't want more scanlations? Already scarce and dried up as it is. You can buy the popular and shitty titles the english companies give you lol. You stick it to corporations. Not people who translate your cartoon gay pron for free. If 10 groups closed, around 50+ of them are open and need help with scanlations. Or at least a thank you. like said before - most have the join thing to keep out 15 year olds who wanna read goosh goosh and their parents find it and take the scanlators to court (those who remember the lady phantomhive b& staff matter...).

think we should include a list of BL groups - some people might find out more titles that aren't in the list - leaving out those who don't want their works updated anywhere.

    Wait wait what.
You're also going to add titles that were on the previous chart? Why?
I thought this was supposed to be some sort of continuation. I don't see the point in adding titles that were already mentioned.
No wonder the list is so big.

because this is an entirely new chart - each mangaka gets one title instead of multiple ones like the original /cm/ chart. so repeats from the original chart and new titles that were suggested on this thread.

I thought I replied to this before I got off(damn you 4chanX) but what >>2688697
    said.

I also like to add, with more on the list, more things people will read(if they use the list that is) and also its a lot better to include a title, summary and genres so the person can look at the list and know just what they want to read instead of looking up random titles and hoping it's something they like.

There are some without summaries, if you see one, and know a good one, just put a summary in a post and I will add it(I don't have some because there weren't any summaries or they were really bad)

And I didn't add any ratings(you guys do that, I'm bad at it), I would use the manga classification which are(i was planning on using the UK film classifications but these work better):
    Y – Youth, Age 10+
Rating means that the manga may contain mild violence and/or cursing.

    T – Teens, Age 13+
The manga indicates that the comic's content may include some sexual innuendo and/or violent action scenes.

OT - Older Teens, Age 16+
The manga may contain more explicit sexual situations and some violent scenes, including blood and gore.

    M – Mature, Age 18+
Manga rated "M - Mature" is strictly for adults. You can expect to find explicit sexual situations, strong language and / or bloody battles and mayhem.

I appreciate any help I can get. Let's go until 7PM EST to stop adding new BL in the list, so no more adding after that, and the people that already asked to get a few more BL in, you still need people to agree

I suggest that New York New York (Ragawa Marimo, which also did Aka-chan to Boku) and Nemureru Mori no Binan/Tomoi (Akisato Wakun) will be added.

Though Prince of Tennis isn't BL I'm guessing, can anyone tell me if it's worth the read? Or if I should watch the anime instead? I'm a bit interested in the series but I don't want to waste my time so could a fan tell me why they like it and what to expect?

I was hoping for a list of titles that might be added too, so that people can see what's still pending approval.
Also, ratings seem pretty pointless. The only one that's really needed is 18+.

The anime seems to be pretty popular because it's where a lot of seiyuu start out, they have tons of character songs and drama cds

No idea if the series is any bit interesting though

Just got back from an out-of-town trip, and I don't know myself what was pending approval. I will look through this thread to find them, but I won't be able to get back to you with them until tomorrow night.(21:00 EST).

    >Also, ratings seem pretty pointless. The only one that's really needed is 18+.
No one's doing ratings so I might not just put them in(except for the 18+, if you can help me out)

Growing up, PoT was a great show. I watched it and read the manga up until some season, but I saw it coming back this year and didn't give it a thought to catch up 6 seasons(or volumes).

I just say go with the manga
    Pros:
    shorter
easier to catch up with the beginning season

    Cons:
Might miss some important notes that the anime had(I forgot if there are any at all)
Chibi Fillers are great and you will miss out.

The live action musical was not my cup of tea, but reading a few volumes or a few seasons should make you understand the BL doujinshi's you read a little bit better.(the cuter ones are sure to be a good read if you know the characters well)

Are you interested in sports anime or just all the cute guys in it?
if it's just the cute guys, you might not enjoy it
but if it's sports anime you will enjoy it
if you like tennis, it is really good and as an overall sports anime/manga is to be compared with Big Windup and Whistle!
