    lolwut

If any of you fags ever HAD truffles you would understand that using "truffle oil" is nothing like truffles at all and could never be a substitute.

It's cute when poor people try to live it up.

    So.
I'm a deprived individual in his 30's that hasn't had a chance to try alcohol. Partly due to people that I know would throw a bitchfit (I get enough of those about other topics, thanks), partly due to hesitation instilled by my father's tales of trying to drink the country dry when the army sent him to Germany.

I'm half-considering brewing my first booze myself.

What should I consider trying? What should I keep in mind if I do go ahead with it? What would you recommend for equipment? I suppose I could easily find instructions online about it, but I figured I would ask advice first. Who would better than you guys?

I would really like OP to elaborate on this. Genuinely curious.

Starter booze? Well I started out with beer when I was 14 or something, seemed a sensible place to start. Nothing too strong that you can overindulge in by accident (as can happen with some spirits and mixers).

Boss, family, extended family... take your pick. If life were a television show, I'd be the guy you see how crappy his life is just before he either winds up getting killed for the show's plot to start, or the whipping boy people keep around to make them feel better. Nothing special, really. Just a background character in life.

    >>2638037
I saw that thread. I looked through it. It seems interesting. I figured I wouldn't clutter that with my paltry questions, though. I might try my hand at it after I try something from the store. Maybe it'd add something interesting to this background character.
    >> Anonymous 03/02/11(Wed)09:29 No.2638073
OP, what is it like to go through life afraid, blaming everyone around you, and lacking the ambition to do anything?

Seriously, I'm curious. I feel like it would suck but you'd continue to do it because you are so lazy that anything else would seem like too much work.

What? I find it incredibly hard to believe that someone in their 30s is stuck in the mindset of a child. I mean, seriously, you're not trying alcohol - something which probably around 70% of the planet enjoys - because you're scared of some people having a bit of a moan?

Are you still breastfed or something? Fuck.

I just finished off a carton of OJ that was a month past its sell-by date when I found it in the back of the fridge, and a month and a half when I finished it.

If it's never been opened, you'll be fine. If it's been opened, you'll be able to taste whether it's bad or not.

not necesseraly. It get even trickier with grapefruit juice. The only way I was able to to tell it spoiled is by chunks of mold that came out of the carton when i poured the last of the juice out. Anyway, combine with alcohol and you'll be fine.

Different guy here, but what is with that "derrr I'm sure McDonalds is as healthy as what people make at home" rationalization?

I had walnut-crusted salmon, lentils, and baked acorn squash last night. Today we're going to have palek paneer, this awesome lentil dish, and curry cauliflower. Tomorrow is blue cheese and sundried tomato stuff chicken breast with an apple, walnut, brandy reduciton, steamed Brussels sprouts, and spinach salad.

I write my meals out for the week so that I don't have to rely on shit convenience foods if I'm busy or out of ideas. Not everyone eats shit food

Left one, depending on context is a server or a flipper thingy.

One on the left is a scraper. Use it for mixing cakes and stuff because it fits the bowl along its curved edge see.
